Are you going to see the smallness of yourself compared to the universe and go mad with the revelation?

Been there, done that, got drunk, returned to active duty.

"What the hell...?"
:...Sanctor?:

"I was born there. And call me Commander!"
(I am sorry. I couldn't resist. :D)

((@Moopli the thing is, if you put a stat at -2, every time you roll it there is a 5/6 chance of Piecewise murdering you horribly. So... be warned.))
((FTFY
With a -2, whenever that stat is concerned, you need to roll 5 every time if you want to survive. Otherwise, bad things happen. And even when you roll a 5, things are still going to be bad, meaning you won't succeed as well as you could, because you only succeeded and survived due to blind luck.

That being said, gen. knowledge is not rolled that frequently. Most recent roll was from Lyra, I think.

Edit: responded here due to stupidity. Please respond in ooc.))
Except he was right that only roll of [1] at stat/skill of -2 usually causes inevitably death for a character (under no stress/with no special circustances). I can't find the proper quote right now, but Piecewise mentioned that much when he introduced the new system and discouraged the people from minmaxing. In that specific case referenced, I am pretty sure it was indeed [1] rolled on Med.

Of course, with stat of -2 a roll of [1] is likely to happen 5 times out of 6, for narrative reasons, so yeah, you might be correct in a way.  ;)

That case is why an ER rulebook would be so hard to write. You can't tabulate raw inspiration and the converging of varyin elements into something beautiful like that.

Quote from: sudden reality shift
-2 Disaster
This character is so bad with this skill that it's like they have some sort of curse. 1 is basically an automatic death, maybe permanently. 6 will kill people around you. Anything other then a 5 will fail to some degree, and even 5's will usually have you complete the action in an unorthodox and perhaps not great manner.
Is this thing on the wiki? I'll check.

If not, I'll add it when I get access to my PC.

Anyway, looks like it's fail 5.5/6ths of the time.

It does not look to be.  There's a good summary of the levels in the respec thread OP.

Hmm. Spazyak or Navarro, which will manage to get their edits done in time, I wonder...

Nay clue. We only have 2 audience members or so on DMR as far as I can see, would anyone be willing to go do random shit in the audience?

So far: betting, making suggestions to the arena staff for weapons and equipment sold, suggesting new challenges, bribing, buying alcohol and drugs, throwing things at people and into the arena, meeting a girl/boy/other, attacking random audience members, talking, scrapping, anything a human can do normally in the stands of a big arena. Probably lots more. Oh, and a lot of shouting about whether or not people should live or die, who should win, lose, or be condemned to a punishment game, choosing what happens to players, occassionally killing the odd contestant personally. There will also be free weapon handouts, possibly.

Your charsheet was a little off, I took the liberty of changing all the 2s to 1s, it won't make a difference, and gives you the right number. Damn, I should have started this earlier, in order to give myself more beauty sleep.

Actually, there is no such rule. You can volunteer wherever the mission organizer says. Sometimes, you can do it in the wrong thread and someone will still put you in the appropriate wiki list.

Besides, it's an IC thing. Don't ask for people to volunteer IC if you don't want them to respond IC.
Or at least add a clause that "This is just to allow people to ask IC questions. If you want to volunteer, do it in OOC."

Unless there was such a thing and I failed a spot check.

Piecewise, is there any point in going beyond +4 on a stat or skill? Does +5 mean you're even better than a Master?
Or is it just something that might come in handy if you lose skill points during a mission?

Asking because I was adding skill level descriptions on the wiki and noticed that you wrote "Level +4 and on".

I've asked, he basically said that the benefit is getting more and more narrowly-useful.
I.e. when the negative bonuses pile up enough to threaten even Master's success (+4), +5 relevance enters the game, but not before that.

You volunteered in OOC so that Radio Controlled could add you all to the wiki and we could see what sort of participants we should be expecting. Now people are volunteering IC so that Anton can properly act on that.
