5 for stats and 5 for skills. Unless you died and suffered stat lost or something. And no, missions are not finished yet. There's plenty of changes for it to go more wrong.

Good question, we're gonna have you show up in the same thread as the team you're rescuing. It will take a bit for the ship to actually make it down there though, so don't start trying to get off right away.
