I'm just doing what I think is best. You'll just have to trust me that I'm making the right choice. Or try to stop me if you don't.

Besides, all your worrying is probably pointless, since Flint'll probably get eaten by the ground or mindfucked or intercepted by that blimp before he can get close. The brain seems to be currently considering me a higher threat than A team, high enough to pull the airship away. I'll just have to hope it won't use any powerful attacks on me for fear of damaging the brain.

Too bad the other team has not informed us about the mindfuck...

I still find it strange that they seem to be somehow communicating wirelessly with the blimps while Steve told me they're unlikely to do that. Maybe it's some simple communication using pheromones (simply telling it where to go and not receiving any data from it) or maybe Steve was simply ill informed.

comrade, one action post. either strike through the first or edit the contents of the second into the first. PW isn't going to run two action posts for you.

Alright, will do. I'm not yet sure what is a proper way to play an action if it is affected by reaction of others.
example:

Quote from: Player A
Shoot battlesuit with laser rifle
Quote from: Player B
"You can't hurt that thing with your lasrifle! Let my amp handle it and you deal with the sods behind us!"
microwave the battlesuit in front of us
Quote from: Player A
"Roger!"
spin around and shoot the sods behind us with my laser rifle
in the above three quotes, is it easy to understand what happened?

as a rule of thumb, if it's easy to understand, people will understand what happened.

Okay. I'll employ that knowledge.

So. Part A of Joker's job is done. With any luck, within a few turns we'll be nuking the ground teams from orbit.

...

Or nuking things that aren't the ground teams to distract the planet so they can live? I forget the details.
Either way works.
The minmax potential of the Deathcube is limitless!
Which is to say that we don't understand it well enough to know what it can't do or what the costs of the things it can do are.

Pity it's so hard to find test subjects for it...
Try getting Gus to test it. He's the most gullible character on the ship, and I think Doc might be willing to risk a horrifying death/injury.

What makes you say that?

Gus nearly destroyed a capital building because he was told to put "boxes" in its basement. He's gullible.

The park is in the place where the old shipyards used to be before some incarnation of Xan blew them up. They're fairly nice, mostly local flora, but none of those damn exploding trees. Has a Statue in the center dedicated to those who died during the taking of the planet.

So it's got it's enire pre-takeover population on it, save for the seventy survivors?

That has an IC reason: Miya just came to, and saw people getting eaten and running away and team cohesion falling apart, so he prioritizes on shouting the troops back into line and finding a way how to go on from here. I'm trying to scale back a little on the 'messaging with 6, people at a time in the span of a minute' so I was gonna try to get a message out to the other team once it made sense IC.

That's also why I'm not responding to Sword's message till next turn.

((... so, I was re-reading Paris's action, trying to figure out what's up, and I realized that he is reconfiguring his rainbow cannon but hasn't said what mode it is reconfiguring into. Meaning the real action is happening in a PM. When I saw that, I went to the wiki to look up the rainbow cannon, wondering if it had a mindfuck mode or somesuch. It doesn't. Every mode is destructive. So I went back to his action and re-read it again... and started paying more attention to that mining laser he's holding. Then went back to the Rainbow cannon page and started looking at the blue Lightning mode.

I think he's trying to make a high-power electrolaser and use it to tase the haebi's brain, in the hope of shutting down / confusing its attacks against us.

not sure why he's doing it via PM, but I think Flint is still with us on this.))

((I don't think heating something that is right above us to a ridiculous degree is very smart. Worst case scenario we become +metal statues+. This is a finely crafted metal statue. It is encrusted with sharkmist and HMRC. On the item is an image of HMRC and Pancaek. Pancaek is laughing. The HMRC is melting. The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))

That is a bold strategy. It might pay off, but there is a risk of frying the brain useless for our own purposes, I think.

Really, nothing will really be lost if we can't get the brain anyways, at least in the long term.

Well, if you don't get the brain, it might make it take a bit longer for Steve to eat the entire galaxy.

Yeah, let him eat it. What has the galaxy ever done for us anyway? It's just standing there being all tacky and wasting perfectly good space and time.

To be honest, I kind of want to see the rebellion fail. Or like, just see people stop wanting to join because of our pretty bad methods.

Dedicated to, not depicting.  It's actually depicting a naked old man kicking babies.

Or maybe it does depict everyone that died:
