I really would, but I dunno if Steve would let it go through.

In character, I know nothing about Xan's history. Just saying.

Once I get out of my character development RP I'll hit you up for it then.
Wait, are you going on mission?

Hey Nik (and Heph people in general), can I get a confirmation that the 'Fleshknitter' substance you guys packaged with that MCPII prototype is the substance Maurice developed during the timeskip, located in this post? I'd like to write up an entry on it for the wiki.
Yeah, it is. Also, unfortunately it is packaged in MCP-II only in the form of an optional upgrade (2 extra tokens; but present in the prototypes for testing purposes). At least now you could possibly have multiple of them installed (or some other upgrades, yet to be designed).

Hm... so it's not available on the general armory? (I think that's at your discretion, being the inventor, but PW already gave it an individual 'price per can', which we have listed on the armory, as Swordsmith pointed out to me)
It's... ah, how should I put it...
... exactly an old-style prototype. Meaning that you could probably get it from the Armory Master by paying the tokens, but it is by no means a standard piece of equipment yet, and rather "manufactured on demand" and the price reduction has not been applied to it yet; this is exactly why I want it so badly to be actually "prototyped" by Hephaestus and field-tested, so it could become a standard item - and a cheaper one at that.
Of course, I want to share it (and do so, hence sending the data to Hephaestus right after inventing it) - but, at the moment, it is prohibitively expensive for its moderate effectiveness, I am afraid. And yeah, I already put it on the armory page in the prototypes section some time ago.

Would anyone be interested in purchasing a discounted Microwave Amp? I would rather sell it to a fellow player than back to the armory. Only 2 tokens.

The offer is for a limited time only; if nobody bites, Irling will just sell it back.
I don't know who was appointed to deal with that, but I think that RC agreed for the team fund to buy the equipment from characters for the same half-price to keep it half-priced on sale for later characters to buy. Ask him.

Yep. That's what I need the creds for.

Aw.
Hmm. Unless I can do it completely OOC/timewimey handwavey then, which should be possible given that I've been stuck on the one turn for the past 4 turns or so due to missions starting...hmm. Might be possible.

I would like to point out one thing (not to disappoint anyone, just to remind):
Aside from theoretically bashing an (enemy, hopefully) amp user's head open while on mission and claiming the amp as a prize then and there, I don't think we physically deal with amps as items anywhere on ship. More like, they appear to be "an amp license" or something that you purchase from the Armory and take to the infirmary where you have the amp installed. Probably goes the same way for removing and selling back; the amp physically remains in the infirmary stocks, while you are given back the license for that particular amp you just had cut out of your head - which you can either sell directly to the AM, or to another player.
And to reclaim that amp (even if, let's suppose for a moment you can put it in your head by yourself, or with another inmate's help) you'll have to go to the infirmary and show that "amp license" card you just bought from another character. Needless to say, this is where one is most likely to encounter staff resistance if they were banned from the amps.

Just pointing out the additional difficulties you might encounter. Now you can plan accordingly!  ;)

Alright. The offer stands for anyone who wants it.

@Lenglon: Quick question, after the cube, how much would you say Lyra weighs? Because I want to know if I'm reacting to a surprising and surprisingly light impact or a surprising heavy impact.
I'm assuming that while the cube made you lightweight, it didn't make you so lightweight as to render your attacks (like punching) useless. Plus you are partly mechanical now.
Jumping at someone that is not wearing armour from something as high as a battlesuit with only hard metal floor below them would not be very pleasant for them, assuming you're around 20kgs.
((One setting lighter weight than the one that made a laser rifle weigh the same as a empty water bottle, and Lyra pre-weight-reduction was around 100lb or 45kg. as for punching, you might want to note that Lyra has ALWAYS had a str penalty, also: she has claws (currently retracted) ))
((So it's a surprising but light impact))
