Yeah, I volunteered a few days ago. I haven't been posting much because mission launch managed to coincide almost perfectly with the temporary loss of a good amount of my free time.
(And I was ready for the mission a week ago. )

At this time I've only tested it on "guns", as a pile of un-fixable guns was what I could get my hands on to test with. Testing it on a club or knife or something would be useful!

You know, heavywieght and weapon would be useful for gauss rifles and stuff with lots of recoil since that would make the recoil lessen.

You know, making a gun lightweight would worsen the recoil, right?  Either that or reduce the damage.  Equal and opposite reaction, and all that.

Dual wielding LESHOs would just rip your arms off the moment you fired.

((Piercing-Energy Weapon; all the energy blast of High-Energy Projector taken together and focused into small section. Can burn through battlesuits and other stuff; overheats like hell, though, so cooling systems included. Quite heavy, I recall, so might require more-than-human strength, I think. Exoskeleton or higher, probably.
Sean should be able to answer more, of course.))

I haven't statted it for the new system, but Exoskeleton and Strength +1 at least. It's a huge thing, like a Raduga with a backpack attachment. Large block of metal and cooling pipes. Can fire like a regular HEP, can fire compressed energy shots (can punch through a battlesuit at long range) which it uses up special coldplates for (reloads in packs of 2). Can also fire one super-compressed shot, which might take an arm off an Avatar for all I know (or at least damage it), but the whole thing melts to slag after firing it.

It's a neat sort of thing. Worst thing about it by far is that it can only fire once per minute.

My favorite part about that conversation was the idea of a leveling rifle. I'm surprised that's not an artifact actually, I mean, intelligent but otherwise normal weapons are a staple of magic shit.
