I just found myself using the verb 'to piecewise' to describe long-term foreshadowing, hinting and generally fucking with the reader mostly without him noticing it in the first place (or not grasping it entirely until too late). Yay!

Oh hey PW, depending on whether I survive, would you think the Doctor would be amenable to me training to control my powers better so I don't turn go full Tetsuo every time I overshoot? Kinda like what Bishop got with that special technique thing he had where he could target with Med skill? Or would he be the wrong NPC to pester about it and I should go bug the AM instead?

Wouldn't EMP affect our suits anyway, regardless of robot bits? Although I guess it wouldn't matter that much with the low-level suits. Probably.

Speaking of suits, did mine get destroyed when I turned into a bear? Or am I an invisible bear wandering about in an invisible spacesuit? I'm not sure which possibility is funnier.

Yeah, I guess they would. Still, EMP's are a danger....

I'm pretty sure that most of our stuff, especially robobodies, is shielded against EMPs.  If our stuff were disabled by them, that would be a pretty massive problem.

I guess I'll check anyway, though.  Making assumptions is bad.  Plus, if our stuff isn't, then neither is the UWM's stuff, which would be awesome.

Since all our stuff is built with radiation shielding, they should have some protection against EMPs. Robobodies and battlesuits can survive being near nukes, after all.

That being said, if I remember correctly, during the Hephaestus assault the Urban Executors set up EMPs near the control room access, hoping to disable any exoskeletons or battlesuits approaching. So particularly powerful or specially designed EMPs should work.
