I haven't been following along, why won't the normal OOC thread suffice?

Partially because I know there's lots of people who don't really like all our tinker stuff, partially as Nik said- putting stuff in here makes it harder to stay on-topic.  Several pages of talk about random things, such as how poorly the alien missions go, or about PW's various OOC things, can pop up very rapidly.  That makes it somewhat more difficult to focus on Hephaestus discussion.

There's also the benefit that it keeps all that stuff in a single dense thread, which allows for easier searching.  Searching for particular old posts in this thread... can be very difficult.

Then one day, his friend flat out vanished, and the supply of various small-arms and assault-style weaponry dried up. Attempting to find a new source got him caught by a police sting, and after a short gun battle he and his surviving crew were sentenced variously to life imprisonment, death, and HMRC service.
Reason assigned to HMRC: Arms-dealing, illegal firearms possession and manslaughter.
