Eh, not really.  He has points in INT, but not DEX, which is vastly more useful.  And he has points in STR while not being a con or uncon person- exo users have little use for strength.  If he were really minmaxed, he'd have fifteen points in Will, then buy a microwave amp (three tokens) and a Confidence sub exo (two tokens) to solve the maluses to physical stats.  That's +0;+1/3;+0;-1;+1;-1, or an effective twenty six points.

Plus, he's a transhuman, which is the worst class in the game.  Which, come to think of it, probably means he wasn't actually going for a minmaxed char.  Oh well.

Simple- it has two maluses, for only one bonus.  The only possible reason to go for it over a grunt is to avoid being called a munchkin.  Although, I suppose it's possible one might choose it because they like failed charisma/speech rolls.

Arguably, physimancers and technicians could be considered worse, because their maluses actually matter once in a blue moon, but from a munchkin standpoint where your goal is to maximize all stats, they're easier to rectify.  Mercenary is a profession that actually is logical, because it gives two bonuses, and you can work with the maluses.  And of course, fleshtech is the most OP, because it gives two bonuses for one malus, and it's trivial to work around that malus entirely.

Huh, I wonder if this has anything to do with why syvarris decided to play a fleshtech with fifteen will and five dex, and promptly bought a confidence sub exo? :p

Transhuman is the worst profession numerically, but Speech and Charisma aren't terribly useful. If you pick a Mercenary instead, you can get the same +1 Exo with +1 Intuition, but you are shafted for two useful skills - Medical and Handiwork. Fleshtech gets a pair of useful skills, in comparison, but Aux and Med are both rather noncombat, and the -1 to Con can really hurt when things get shooty. Technician and Physimancer, however, are somewhat superfluous given the far more flexible Grunt, which I think is the real broken class here. You'd only pick Technician or Physimancer for RP reasons, like I did.

Or you could pay 5 tokens and get an Aux hardmount to turn your conwep penalty into an Aux bonus when using guns.

Except if you're starting out, that leaves you with a Mk1, a hardpoint, and no guns. Slightly less problematic nowadays with the newbie fund, the mission fund, and the prototypes, but still.

Screw that, minmax or all-round it all you want. Depends how you play it, not the stats.

When you roll it, it's about the stats. Speech just has a special detachment gameplay-roleplay.

And the results are in! I'd need to get 6 tokens for the teleporter rifle. Though I may be willing to lower the tokens if we throw in something else, like a coupon for another artifact or something.

Just see if you can work it out with Hep, if not then I/team fund will buy it of you.
