   If you don't know what Aurora is then you can check the OP of its thread here and it gives a top level description of the game. Though the title of the thread for it is "Aurora - The Dwarf Fortress of 4X Games" so that might give a slight hint of what your in for. I have my first video up here(my keyboard and mouse are loud in it but that will be fixed by the next video) and it has a good look at what the game will be like. I have some plans on how to record it though any suggestions would be appreciated. Also most things can be named and renamed so if you want to govern earth ask and you just might receive. Basically I am looking for names for my stuff as I will have shipyards, ships, captains, scientists, commanders, politicians, solar systems, planets, and all kinds of things to name so suggest names for stuff and besides earth and the system being named Sol its probably up for naming. Though if you try to name everything I might hold off on using all your suggestion and let some others have a chance. The game is very much designed as a story telling tool so interaction will all of you will be somewhat important as my natural inclination is to turtle like a hermit and thats no fun at all.

   Welcome, we might be a few years out from having a ship and the first one available will probably be geosurvey but as time goes by I can definitely promote upwards. You have been added to the list.

   The thing with Aurora is that because of the weird window size (I have to cut it down to 720p because the only other option would be to up it to 1080p or you couldn't read anything) and the tedious turn passing (especially at the start if doing conventional) doing something other than a traditional lets play with forum post updates is harder than it looks. I plan to do a bit of behind the scenes video editing to make this work and it might turn out to be a bit more work than I have time for but so far it seems doable. As for the passing of turns I may show a bit at the start as Flying Dice has suggested over in the  Aurora thread so people get a feel for it but otherwise I will be cutting it out. Also with any situation where you name stuff after people or from suggestions by people is that you can't just mindlessly mash pass a month. If you do that you might miss something that happened to them.

   Episode 2 is up here and I managed to get both people that requested it named. I am of course still looking for names whether its to have someone named after you or you just have a cool name for something any would be appreciated. Also thoughts on video length. I managed to end up with both the first and second video being about an hour each but thats more of just not wanting to stop and I could just start another video. Do you all want hour long videos or would you all prefer me to reduce the video length to 30 minutes or some self stated preference?

   You shall have command of a garrison unit until I can manage a good attack unit. I actually just looked into them a bit so I can do something with what I have.

I'd like to be a fighter pilot, please. If possible, I'd like to pilot something called the FacePunch, that, well, packs a big punch. ^_^

   I might not have fighters for a bit but I can definitely fit you in on a ship to just get some training. Also for those who may worry about dieing before you get placed where you wanted, especially if you wanted something a bit out, don't worry I have a plan.

So, I'm not really watching the video, just listening to it.  But... when you are mentioning the scientists?  They are never shuffled off for irrelevancy.  Same with administrators.

Only the fleet officers and ground commanders will be shuffled out.  Apparently, the game also counts from when they are put on the job, not when they are released.  So if you had some officer assigned to a ship forever, then release them.  They'll get shuffled out pretty soon after if you don't do anything about it.

   Yeah, I know that scientists don't go away. I tend to end up quite the collection of 5% wonders. After a point my tendency is to actually go in and fire a number personally just to clear the clutter some. This is especially true if they don't have a lot of labs that they can work because even 5% can be made up for if I can shove 50 or so labs at them.

Oh and just to mention, if someone wants to name things instead of or as well as people we have a commercial and naval shipyard that need names right now.

   We have episode three up now and I manage to get everyone named even if its not quite in the position requested. I also figured out how to make and give medals and thus the title of the video. Also I now have 2 Commercial and 2 Naval shipyards and if anyone wants to name them, singularly or as a bunch, that would be cool as I am not really good at the naming things bit myself.
