The king of Marieth, an old man under the name of William Thomas, has hired a group of mercenaries to go into a dungeon to find an artifact said to grant immortality to it's wearer. You know the old man is getting sicker and older so you have decided to take on this quest. He has given you a sum of 100 gold piece in total as a down payment.

You are standing in a bustling market square with fruit and vegetable carts rolling about, traders and merchants peddling their wares. There is a blacksmith's shop here aswell as a small alchemy store. The road beneath you is an old bumpy stone road. Many of the buildings are also made of stone bricks with thatched roofing.

I don't understand why you need magma.

Well done OP, you've inadvertently weaponized ghosts.

[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

Post to apply.

What sourcebooks beyond that? Book of Combat, Book of Magic, etc?

...Isn't the Tomb of Horrors an adventure, not a sourcebook?

What's the player limit? Too many and things get... unwieldy.

I may.

In any case, watching people get murdered by traps is always amusing to me.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

We need more games like that mass Tomb of Horrors earlier with the super-simplified D&D. If this ends up anything like that game, we're in for a wild ride.

*wanders in* 'sup. Just came in to say sorry about abandoning that game 3/4ths of the way through. Dick move, I know. I would restart it, but since we got 3/4ths of the way through last time, too much of it has been spoiled. Though if I could find a similar module...

EDIT:
3.5, lvl 3, Tomb of Horrors.

Bwahahahahaha. You do know that the official module is for 9th level characters, right?

Hmm, in that case I may make a character. I like those odds.

Oh please. Anyone who wanted to use OOC knowledge could have looked up Tomb of Horrors and found it. You might as well worry about spoilers by mentioning that Rosebud was his sled, Snape killed Dumbledore, or Jacob falls in love with Bella's baby in a move that was probably thought of when the author was drunk and sleep-deprived because seriously what the hell.

Didn't know the first, don't even know what you are referencing with it.
Knew the second.
Knew the third, and was so confused.
