And thus ours 'heroes' journey north, finding the bolthole behind a waterfall. I will skip that part since nothing interesting happened(roll low on event and loot) and we join them at the south tower of crystal ruins.

A stone tower is embedded in the earth, the door is rotted away. The forest around the place is oddly bare of leaves for summer, with an out of season fog giving it a hunted look.

Joan, now in the outfit of a simple traveler with hair cut short to throw people looking for her off, says "How odd."

Joan thinks "Low, I haven't read of any monster that brings fog, but no cold, a magic user is more likely."

Benoit shrugs, "Well, no matter what we either have to go through it or find a way around it."

Annie is visibly reluctant to enter, or even stay around the tower and the woods.
"How long would it takes to go around it? Any clues? Map?"
It's obvious she's hoping that the answer is "not too long".

"There not really a way around, we go into the ruins and hope we get to the north tower before running into whatever the reason for this."

"First off, you don't intend to cause me harm, which is something less to worry about. Second, no offence but you're not exactly powerful sorcerers of legend. This..." she waves in the direction of the ruins "... appears a bit more worrysome than you two."
