Sake isn't bad. Kinda nasty taste but you can make spritzers with it.

If you're into asian alcohols, I highly recommend Korean soju. If you like flavors, you can get it in various fruit versions, but I quite like it straight. It's basically grain alcohol with water, for the most part.

It's part of the reason Koreans beat Russians for number of shots of alcohol consumed per capita per week, 13 vs. 6 according to Wikipedia.

I watched The End of Evangelion (the movie following Evangelion) with my housemate.
I strongly dislike most of it.  Kept pausing the movie to shout at it, actually.  Faily drunkl, but also engaged my housemate in discussion about the plot points.

It just... undermines the straight hour of character development and wrapping up of loose ends which is the final two episodes.  Which were beautiful, art budget aside.

Edit:  Agh actually a lot of what he's saying makes me see it in a different light.  I liked it how it was, but maybe these movies aren't actualy the literal worst thing.  Maybe it's a better, more complicated conclusion.

HURRICANE PARTYYYYY

Turns out, noone's gonna stay inside since we're central ga not coastal ga. I have been drinking many liquor drinks, and perhaps even a beer or two. No other activites were commenced that would be considered illegal.

On an unrelated note, still not a fan of opioids! Never really have been and my brief run in tonight has continued to drive me away, like a lover in the night.

Had my pubnight tonight. Finally got to try the habanero vodka, in their "Dynamite" cocktail (Moscow Mule, but with habanero vodka instead of standard).

Like, in theory, that sounds like a great idea... Mixing the spicy ginger and the citrusy lime with the fiery kick of the habanero, it sounds like it could be a real winner, right? Well, unfortunately, the capsaicin seems to kinda take the same "place" as the ginger, so the vodka almost completely overrode the gingery goodness of the mule.

I later tried it in a bloody mary, which ended up being... Surprisingly tame. Was honestly kind of sweet, the pepper and worcestershire (I'm not sure she even found/added worcestershire sauce... New chick tonight, still learning the ropes) didn't manage to balance out the sweetness of the tomato juice, which in turn knocked out the spiciness of the vodka.

Ah well... I'm sure it makes for a fun shot.

Spent the afternoon till twilight talking about New Vegas, eheh!
It's nice to take time off, and spend it with a friend stuck behind a counter.
We had some vicious, serious Fallout/not-Fallout political talk, and it was soooo good.

This is how I would choose to spend every day off, friendly political/nerdy game debate with friends .
5 hours of heaven.

I kinda failed to get drunk quickly enough, though, so it's mostly been a waste of cheap booze. Oh well.

Shame they don't mention what plant their version of Soma was using... There appears to be a great deal of uncertainty as to what the original recipe called for, so it's not exactly clear what they were tooling with.

Dude on the right in the nosepipe test reminds me of an old friend of mine... The mad bastard once accidentally ate a massive wad of chewing tobacco and was, miraculously, perfectly fine afterwards.
