I don't know much about FATAL, but a review suggests I should have you hospitalized for enjoying it. The reviewers (plural) rage is actually amusingly outraged:
Quote
There's not really a whole lot of ways that I can get around this: FATAL, as a whole, is your chance to stop being the good guy and start being the soulless rapist that you and your tiny clique of brain-dead morons knew they could be. You can come home from a long day of being shunned by anybody with a soul, wipe the pepper spray from your eyes, scuttle down into the cold concrete of the basement and engage in what amounts to a verbal circle-jerk with a clique of people just as terribly broken as you are.
This is only a small part of the review for the first page. The Review goes on in that vein. For pages and pages and pages. It felt like reading the writings of an avatar of indignation , hate and rage, summoned from the depths of the internet.

I don't plan to read FATAL itself.

FATAL is one of those things we need to either hide or claim was sent to us by "the next planet over" if aliens ever visit. Otherwise they'll just blow up the Earth. And they'd be right to do so.

Back to the topic at hand, there is an line from K-PAX I feel often applies to things like Science and Maths: A soap bubble is round because it is the most energy-efficient configuration.

Ironic how a discussion even tangentially related to feminism is now talking about FATAL. And by ironic, I probably mean "somewhat disappointing."

Is bringing up FATAL in a thread similar to Godwin's Law?

I wonder if there's a feminist RPG out there. Such as. Although I gotta say, it sounds like a shitty game like everyone else makes where you come up with a vaguely-different core mechanic and lean back in your chair calling it good. A real RPG needs six hundred pounds of fat to enrich the gameplay experience (such as the spells / monsters / magic items in D&D, the corps / contacts / spells / critters / matrix programs / physad abilities / gear / cyberware / vehicles of Shadowrun). If your RPG is six pages of rules and 50 pages of fluff, and I could run a game after your elevator pitch, and no matter what I have to make everything else up, it's not a complete RPG. It's just a napkin diagram of an RPG.

Anyway, it was canceled. So whatever.

Besides, I don't think I could play a feminist RPG with a straight face. I love that the 1E D&D DMG has a Harlot Type sub-table and a magic girdle that changes your gender is classified as a worthless cursed item. Anyone who gets upset at that would probably be irritated at all the other shit that goes down in my game. Witches all turning dudes into pigs and dragons eating virgins. You know, the normal stuff.

With the omnipotence of the DM, I fail to see how any RPG couldn't be molded into feminist shape pretty easily (Excepting FATAL of course).

But it's obviously much more of a promising enterprise than trying to overthrow formal logic, and abolish the object model from programming languages.

Actually we could make one called "Feminists are totally awesome, LOL". The rival feminist F.A.T.A.L.

I was about to pop in here and say you all got trolled by /g/.
Then I realized the OP was in fact, an entirely separate person who actually meant what they were saying.

Well fuck.

Given the subject of this thread, that's unfair. The connection was actually unrelated to feminism entirely, rather lying in their shared stupidity and work put into them, but differing in that one is completely serious.

4chan's technology board. A small one, usually unnoticed and generally full of nice people by 4chan standards. They made C+= as a satire [even outright saying it was a satire, a rare statement coming from anything out of 4chan].

According to several articles, C+= was a response to the scholar's project on hastac:

Quote
Overview

C Plus Equality is a satirical programming language created by 4chan users in response to a proposal of a feminist programming language published on the humanities and technology site Hastac in December 2013.

Background

On December 11th, 2013, feminist Arielle Schlesinger wrote a blog post for Hastac[1]about a project aimed at creating a a feminist programming language. On December 13, the article was posted in the /g/ (technology) board on 4chan, along with links to a feminist programming language titled “C Plus Equality” on GitHub[2] and BitBucket, credited to the parody feminist organization Feminist Software Foundation.

Feminist programming language - every script file must begin with the phrase "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess."
