In.

"Gibbons are apes, too!"
I'm thinking Hoolock hoolock, because the gibbons have remarkably few species who stand out. Maybe Hylobates moloch, H. agilis, or H. lar.
"Not that you'd care. You're one of those bastards that thinks all of us gibbons look alike, don't you?"
Gibons are not closely related to humans enough to be affected by the Socratic Agent. Family Hominidae only. Should you choose to persist in this choice of species, you shall be considered an Inferior Primate by the Empire.
Would that mean I wouldn't be sentient, or that I wouldn't be a citizen?

You'd be a regular Gibbon. I'd roll to see if you're an exceptionally smart specimen, but consider it hardmode nonetheless. Naturally, you wouldn't be a citizen.

Human
he posted a second time rather than edit his first one.

please note that this means we have exactly 8 players.
Ah, very good then.

Well, if I'm not sentient, I don't really want to be a gibbon.
Racist.

So I guess I'll go orangutan, since no one chose that.

Very well. A roll of 5 would have made you sentient, but you can't really depend on those in these kind of games eh?

Lenglon (4) has a cybernetic brain, as a result of being a lab animal. When the professor was fired for... reasons, his property was liquidated to recoup the costs and remove the evidence. Lenglon winds up in the Animal Adoption Agency, his sentience unkown.

We live at the dawn of a new era. On Earth, a golden age of scientific discovery. The labs, institutions, and universities churn out one new discovery after another. Technology advances at a tangible rate. The Unity Ministry works to further cement cohesion between the Five Species, arranging and encouraging great cultural works and cooperative enterprises. Far above, the first Great Spaceships near completion, preparing to move out the the solar system and beyond, and the labs below yearn for the new things they will find...

You may post your first actions now. From where in this glorious picture do you begin your journey?

Grab dapper young lady. head to Empire State Building, or model building equivalent. Climb to top and pound on chest repeatedly.

Ah what the hell, 1 turn won't hurt him.

Office Building. Literal Code Monkey.

Contemplate killing boss, before going back to doing job badly.
(4) That stuck up orangutang... maybe if you put poison in his tea, it would look like Alphonse the Bonobo did it. He's always been after the boss's job. (4) Congratulating yourself on plotting the perfect crime, you go back to making your Vchat with your human drinking buddies look like work.

Soldier sent to put down the gibbon rebelion in the capital.
(5) This has gone too far, and the best and brightest of the OceanSec Elite Force are called to deal with the situation. You and your fellow marines engage (3) the "Gibbons," a militant animal rights organization that had the audacity to disrupt the capital Emperor Day parade!

adopted by one of the players.
Look through the paperwork of whoever adopted me and find out what I can about them.
You go through the papers of your new owner once he leaves the (3) apartment, finding (4) a diary filled with detailed descriptions of loathing, and many revisions of a plan to kill his boss

.
In a lab, developing artifical soldiers

Start making killbots against humans gorillas are the greatest race, and I will proove our glory by killing off the human race
(1) The Ministry of Unity discovers your experiments and finds you in violation of the founding principles of the Empire. Ironically, the death squad they send to your house is mostly composed of Gorillas.

Grab dapper young lady. head to Empire State Building, or model building equivalent. Climb to top and pound on chest repeatedly.
(6) Using your multiple arms (being the result of an insane self experiment), you grab a human woman, a gorilla woman, an orangutang woman, and a bonobo woman, and steal a car. You would have grabbed a chimp as well but you needed a hand to drive. You crash the car and begin climbing the building. After reaching the top, you look down. Below you a bunch of marines are fighting protesters.

As the pilot, Ooran Red.
(6) You are pilot of the New Canopies Prime, a massive ship designed to explore and establish experimental colonies around the Jovian moons. In your eagerness to begin, you set off before the vessel is fully coupled - you've only got the Penal Colony module.
