You're a nameless guard cloned by some abjectly evil Megacorp for the purpose of guarding its facilities. You and your best friend, Series-4 Guard Number 0031, are currently guarding inside Surveillance Chamber 4502, a converted broom closet inside Megalab 2439 with a tiny black and white television monitor linked to an even smaller camera outside Secure Containment Chamber Number 0534.

Ever since you and Number 0031 were ripped from the culture vats inside Megafacility-C0674 two hundred years ago, the two of you have been inseparable. Going on assignments together, eating at the same table, combing your hair the same way, and even sleeping in the same bed. You even have a secret handshake.

You and Guard 0031 are currently engaged in a game of cards atop an overturned bucket. The two of you are sitting on either side of the bucket, with the door to 0031's back (quite literally, the closet is very, very small) and the TV monitor perched as it always is on the cardboard box next to your lunch rations. You squint at your cards, holding them closer to the dim light cast by the monitor. The closet's light is long burnt out, and the replacement is about 36 and a half years overdue, the day that you both were assigned here.

What text color will 0030 and 0031 have, respectively?

I've never played that but when I looked it up and listened to the voice, it sounded exactly how I had imagined the narrator sounding. Maybe I should write it from a third-person omniscient perspective while still having you play as Number 0030?

You squint at the cards. Hey, how much are these ones worth? You hold up a card with a black "K" printed on it. 0031 ignores you, his face the picture of focus. After a few minutes of staring and a quick break so he could count on his fingers he throws his cards down on the bucket. Full house! He declares, a look of triumph on his face. He has a black two, a black seven, and a black "J." You drop your cards next to his and sigh. All I have is these stupid K's.. 0031 grins, gathering up his three cards and stuffing them into his vest. Hey don't sweat it Three-Zero. Maybe one day you'll be as good as me eh? He snickers, clapping you on the shoulder with one gloved hand, grabbing a cracker from his ration tin and tossing it into his mouth with the other. You smile widely at your friend, marveling at his talent.

I think this needs to be reworded, it refers to the guards in a confusing manner.

How so? Three-One is the same as 0031.

What? You lean towards the monitor. You can see the door to Secure Containment Chamber 0534. Its a wide vertical lift door made of reinforced steel with the numbers stenciled onto the face:

For some reason it was opening.

Uhh.. 0031's head appears next to yours. Is it supposed to be doing that?
