Actually, we're not doing that great Hasp. Most of the party is heavily injured and we don't have a dedicated healer; vulneraries will only last so long and even if we do get out of this we'll have highly depleted resources for the next battle. (Valeria and the NPCs are the only ones unhurt, everyone else is below 50% HP and three of those are at 25%)

We've only partially dealt with the frontline. There are 12 completely unharmed enemies still left to fight, along with the three already on us that will probably down at least two of us during their phase, which is another two vulneraries gone and two less actions we'll have on our side - four if people rezz immediately. I do realize that Valeria will be providing additional turns; it doesn't change the math, since she should be doing that anyway.

Sophie's dead because O'Connor went the wrong way, and I don't see much hope for him to evade the cluster of enemies he got caught by. There's nowhere he can go without being in the range of at least the axeman, who can one-shot him, and the agent and the mage can reach him as well (I'm pretty sure he can only get one tile into the forest) so he's just dead without massive evadehax. Even if he does vulnerary himself, the axeman just takes all that away in one attack and then the mage can finish him. He's dead, CE. But fuck it, I'll have him run anyway. might as well get this on the road.

Wait, doesn't being mounted confer a +2 MOV bonus, not 1? Were we calculating the entire time with only 6 MOV, not 7?

Correct. Wyverns riders should have 7 move, barring skills or faults.

I say we let the NPC lord run off and let him complete the objectives by himself. Maybe lend some aid if he seems to be doing well.

If he dies, oh well. I'm a mercenary, not a knight. I can find a new job. Maybe in a better game. :P

And? He can still only get one space into the forest. 4 up to it, 2 to move into it, 1 left over that he can't do anything with. If he had 8 he might be better off, but he doesn't, so...

Um. Are you guys forgetting that flying units aren't affected by movement penalties short of wind or whatever? It would only cost the wyvern rider 1 MOV to move into a forest.

No, but once he's in the forest he can dismount for the juicy Evade bonuses, then in the next turn he can remount to fly away again.

With 7 MOV (+2 due to the mount, as per the comments earlier in the thread), O'Connor can reach (17,1), since flying units are unaffected by terrain costs.  The Axeman, with 5 MOV and a Handaxe for 1-2 range on attacks, can hit only as far as row 2.

Mind you, this only temporarily helps O'Conner - he can't get out of the corner southward, and moving west brings him into range of the boss.

A) You keep forgetting that enemies do not have class skills except (sometimes) bosses. I've told you this as long ago as Ch.2 of FEF, or even earlier.

B) O'Connor has TWO sets of vulneraries. That's more than one. Two sets. Dunno how he is gonna to die to anything if he basically carries 60HP supply. His MOV is indeed 6, cuz Wyvern.

C) Sophie's death =/= end of the game. Third time (I think) I'm telling you this :v
