Got into a surprisingly easy progrom, it was spartan infested and the mutants civilians gave them a hell of a fight for once , and with my Gals efficiency we really kicked their sorry bottom.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Got lot of capture too.

And still i can't believe after all the interrogation i did of enemies that according to the tech viewer can actually give you the tech, still 0 guild stapler, so i'm still blocked out of workshop and so from researching a codex, what an incredible bad luck very annoying.

Rush your way to warehouse wars missions if you haven't already. I've found guild staplers in most of those once I started doing them, and they're not overly difficult. Worst enemies are usually just a couple of guild security which are easy enough to take out with explosives, even if you don't have big enough bullets.

Thanks for that hint, i was starting to wonder if the game had a special line of code to avoid giving me the guild stapler :D .

Is there any use for casino coupons or are they just there to sell?

Right clicking on any item in the sell screen shows you all the projects it is needed for, if any.

I've hit upon a strategy in the missions where I have most of my team spread out through the map as spotters and one gal with a hunting bow raining down four fire arrows a turn anywhere with open sky. Unlike everyone else, she rarely gets injured because she doesn't ever have to be in direct line of sight of any enemies.
Sounds almost like original-XCOM's spotters/snipers tactic, plus the benefit of arcing shots of course.  From the Discord it sounds like arcing shots are favored for being a bit more accurate than their hit-chance indicates (probably due to physics-collisisions on "misses").  Bows are weird but kinda fun.

The coupons aren't redeemable for a long time, building a casino requires taking down a heavy guild freighter (which I finally did, casino in the works...).
Gambling is acknowledged to be broken at the moment for pure profit, even just selling the coupons instead of getting the rare loots.  A nerf is in the works.  Honestly I had a pretty healthy budget selling alcohol and eventually chemicals, without gambling, though I didn't invest in much air superiority or buy VIPs.

Yeah I've been making a lot of money from auto-selling apple wine and playing roulette. At this stage, I'm more a cider brewery that occasionally rains fire down on temples. I'm six months in and haven't managed to catch a ship in four months.

Finally got my guild stapler in the first warehouse wars i went in as sluissa suggested thanks.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Happy, i'll be able to open up a lot my research now, and finally get a use of all those techs i obtained from interrogation but couldn't buy/manufacture due to lack of progression from the lack of stapler :D

Until you have real anti air (and not just the pea shooters that will get your aircars killed against anything that is not civilian unarmed ufo and that you'll use for nearly half a year) shadowing enemy ufo is indeed the only way, but easily 80% of the time they will not land and disappear.

What even is the tech route to the first air combat you can do? I've wasted a decent bit of tech time researching random guns I've looted but I still haven't unlocked any techs that seem promising.

Ballistics and explosives research will lead you to an aerial bombardment launcher. I haven't had the chance to check out whether it actually does anything worthwhile yet.

New patch, ho! Many fun stuff, casino fix (attempt), more of god damned main storyline.

Question. Can i properly get my hands on bondage peasant armor (+5 Voodoo power as naked, but boost morale instead of reducing it and gives some night\thermovision, gived on "reticulan vats" mission. This mission is also a reason to keep a few beefy peasants around.)? I'm absolutely too lazy to check research tree on the subject.  :P Have it researched, can't buy or produce so far.

Not question 1. I recently have been researching "pillow books". Which are expanded "scriptures", basically. Mutant porn, homemade mutant porn, painting Saya doing lewd things. Don't stop making porn, we have mythology to research. And gnomes. Or rather, hentai manga with gnomes. This is ridicolous. Also it allows you to skip male superhero branch and get straight to the point of tanky flying female armor. Probably would look even funnier if i did bother to do it properly.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Not question 2. Melee syns are murder.  :P

Looking at the new version of x-piratez
Quote
- Fix: Some passability fixes to Swamp/Arctic watery terrains and Sewers
If swamp is the terrain i'm thinking about, it was the worst terrain ever in the game, so many way to be stuck in a part of it without any walkable (as you only get a way to fly much later in the game) way to reach some other parts of the map,
the sewers (if that's the level below your base) aren't much better, it's hyper convulated for no reason and is so long to navigate (as it takes more TU by tiles) that if you have enemy down there it takes forever to catch them.

If it fixes both those very annoying problems, it's the best version of x-piratez ever :D

Hopefully the nerf to gambling is not too harsh.

edit : oh the changelog mention there are new missions too, going to give trouble for J13 saves into this new J14 if i understand well the "upgrading save" thread with the new mission never appearing in such saves.
I guess time to start anew, after all now that i know how to get a guild stapler (warehouse wars missions) , i will not get stuck for several months without advancing my tech level and finally be able to possibly prevent some of the disaster i went through in my current run.
