Second deck, towards what I think is the back.
((Not going to spoiler because this is getting amusing out of context.))

That should be the supply room, I'm sure there's something in there you could bake a pizza with.

Wowzers Mastacheese, you've clearly taken the system and ran with it. Good job.

Thanks! I'm trying my best with it. Do you think I did a good job with balancing everyone's weapons? I can't actually see myself yet until they get within firing range.

I've actually been thinking, since in the rules, it says that you need 4 lodestones for maximum maneuverability, but there aren't any actual hard rules on them, that the way I'm going to have it work is that you can make a 45 degree turn for each lodestone, but you can only make each of these turns if you move at least 1 space forward.
So with the ships they are using, with 2 lodestones, they could make two 45 degree turns, so they could (with the max speed of 5) move 3 spaces, turn, move 1 more space, and turn again and move their last space, to make up for the fact that you can only make 45 degree turns, rather than slight turns, so it's easier to get within firing range.
Does that sound good?

I thought lodestones just pulled in a direction, so one stone on each side lets you pull to that direction and atleast four lets you activate certain ones and thus veer that way...

And now, because I am silly I will try to make a table describing what I mean.

Code: [Select]
     [=]
    0[]0
     [=]
Call that two lodestones in a ship. now, the way I see it you can have one each pull each way, thus allowing it to "slide" in that direction.

Now, if you have on like this:
Code: [Select]
     [=]
    0[]0
     [=]
    0[]0
     [=]

You can have opposing ones physically turn it.

Of course, I am thinking of it like RCS thrusters in KSP, and that might be my failing...

But if it works that way then more lodestones just turn it faster, and provide damage suppression via redundancy.

Unless, of course, you have them offset in some crazy ass way, like a

0[]
[]0
0[]

 arrangement, where if they are all one the one in the middle has to have twice the power...

I hadn't really thought of it like that, hmm.

I figured that if you wanted a ship to strafe, then you could always mount some engines facing sideways.

I think piecewise mentioned at some point that he needed to write up some rules for having engines pointed in multiple directions, but the way I would do it is that you calculate the ship's speed in any applicable direction, each separately from the others, so if you took flabort's ship with its speed of 5, then it actually would be a max forward speed of 5. If you mounted some engines to the side, let's say enough for a speed of 3, then you would be able to effectively make two moves, one with your forward speed of 5, and one with your sideways speed of 3.
Now, obviously you could sort of abuse this by making a ship that's capable of moving in all 4 directions, and then moving with one, turning it, moving with the next, turning it again, moving it with the next, and turn it again to move with the last, in order to achieve ridiculous speeds, except at that point I'd just make the ship roll to see if it's torn apart by centripetal motion and absurd G-forces.
