This is the Battle Thread for my game of piecewise's Mainspring game.

For crew submission and ship construction, as well as OOC chatter, please use the Airship Construction and Crew Sign-up Thread.

This game will not be run by conventional means, and it will involve trust and honor on the part of the players in order for this to work as I intend for it too.

This game will be laid out in sections, all contained within spoilers.
If you are playing, do not look in spoilers that do not pertain to you. This is to allow me to run this game as if for people individually, as your character will only know knowledge if they themselves are aware of it.

For example, a standard turn will look like this.

OVERVIEW:
Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

BLUE TEAM:
Spoiler: Ship (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 1 (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 2 (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 3 (click to show/hide)

RED TEAM:
Spoiler: Ship (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 1 (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 2 (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Crewman 3 (click to show/hide)

This leaves nothing out in the open, and players should only look at the spoiler that pertains to them.
For example, if you are Red Crewman 2, then you should look at the spoiler for Red Crewman 2, and the Red Ship Status, but nothing else.
This includes the Overview.

Why am I doing this?
3 reason:

1: It simulates your character in the experience the most realistically, and makes you have to actually think about what you're doing, and use actual game information. If you can't see the other ship, how do you know where they are? If an external view eye gets shot during the fight, the pilot will have to actually take that into account.
2: It makes it easier on me. I already have to deal with a double-digit number of PMs on a daily basis, and if I ran this game using them, I would have way too many to pour through, and would likely lose people's turns.
3: It lets spectators view the whole game, so they can enjoy the entire experience, and allows people who play to look back after the match to see what went wrong/right, without being omniscience during the match, and without a ton of work on my part.

So for this reason, I ask that all players fill this out before playing. (This assumes you have already submitted your character in the Airship Construction and Crew Sign-up Thread.)

Code: [Select]
I, [Insert Username Here], promise to abide by the rules of this game, for the sake of both myself and others. I realize that while there is nothing physically keeping me from breaking these rules,
I will follow them for the sake of my word and honor towards a fair game, and realize that this is simply that, a game. I will not look in the spoilers of the other team, either those of the turn,
or the submitted actions of those players. I will spoiler my own actions so as to keep them secret from the other team, and realize that they are bound by their honor to not view them, as I am bound
by mine to not view theirs.

I hope that the good-natured community of Bay12 can agree to these rules, and keep the game fair for everybody.
After players have signed this, I will declare their characters ready, and will begin.

Um, WhitiusOpus, did you make a character in the other thread? I don't think you have. You should probably go do that.

The Star Wars prequels were pretty good.
Personally, I thought they were pretty good, too. But he still gets 50 lashes for keeping the "Insert Username Here".
