roll20 D&D Pathfinder - Legacy of Fire
« on: January 13, 2014, 08:35:47 am »

Hello,

We are playing an online Pathfinder game, we took the Legacy of Fire adventuring path.

We play on Saturdays at 12AM GMT, for 6 hour sessions.

Our numbers are low, we are seeking for more players !

Current Players and Characters: 5/6 (willing to go to 7 to try how it works)

-Naryar (GMPC): Kjell Trisk, Muscle Wizard! Transmuter who spends his time buffing itself and punching things. Sometimes he casts another spell. (N Wizard 5/Fighter 1/Monk1/Eldritch Knight 1)
-Carnwennan : Maya Hille, archer and ninja. Token girl.  (CN Fighter 2/Rogue 5/Diviner1)
-Chosrau : Justilius, cleric of Irori and both arcane and divine caster. (LN Cleric 3/Wizard 3/Mystic Theurge 2)
-Andrea : Harith al-Salar, inquisitor of Abadar. Melee build with some elven blade. (LN Inquisitor 8)

Rules for joining and creating characters:
-We are currently Level 8, you start with level 8 wealth.
-Pathfinder with some houseruling, all Paizo Publishing should be legal (except summoner). Others and imports from D&D3.5 you must subject to the DM for approval.
-There are no firearms in the world, so if you want to make a Gunslinger it'll be a gun-less gunslinger. (Replace "firearm" with "crossbow")
-Roll stats in the campaign chat. Roll 5x 4d6 for each stat, drop lowest dice. Add a 16 to that, you have stats. 2 traits, more if you take drawbacks (subject to GM approval)
-Any core race allowed, other races may be allowed if they are not too powerful (aka Aasimar and Drow)
-All classes are allowed except Summoner. Multiclassing is encouraged.
-All alignments allowed, alignments subject to change depending on what you do. Evil alignments will be more difficult to roleplay and play without being killed, of course.
-All core Pathfinder feats are allowed (though Dazing Spell isn't). Other D&D feats are subject to GM approval.

Playing Rules:
-I do not award experience, merely party-wide level-ups.
-In the desert, Create Water may only be cast once per day if you prepare it.
-And other houserules, martial classes are buffed, full class spellcasters are nerfed for the last spell levels. Read the campaign forums, please.

So, we allow evil alignments now? Welp, time for a shift for Dre'Xav...

Chosrau is playing Justilius, our walking bandaid.

I handle alignment changes based on your acts.

Also, if you become an evil alignment, especially chaotic evil, and play it seriously, how to say ? I'll stop simply giving you a challenge and I will start to try and kill you seriously on occasion. Well, try to kill you more often than the rest of the party.

No dropping no-save rocks, just battles you will need a lot of skill to win or even survive.

How to say... good is harder than neutral because you must make sacrifices. Evil is far harder because 95% of people want you dead.

Edit : Well, that unless you were kidding. But it's hard to see sarcasm over internets.

I'm tempted to join. Pathfinder is like the unofficial 3.75 right? I'm familiar with 4e, but I'll give this a whirl, I'll PM you a character sheet when I get home... Provided there are spaces open, of course

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Yeah, there are places open.

And it's pretty different (and better) than 4e. What class would you like to play ?

Probably barbarian/fighter if it's like 3.5 with the extra fighter feat

Edit:
Dwarf, if that's possible.

Pathfinder's fighter and barbarian are like the 3.5 fighter/barbarian but even more so. Barbarian gets special powers while raging, fighter gets armor and weapon bonuses.

Also if you want to play a dwarf fighter/barbarian multiclass you can... or even a single class... but we have already plenty of fighters.

A dwarf would be welcome though. We're all human group right now.

Well... I'll look into it more when I get home in four hours, then I'll let you know.

With the way the party is now, we need a heavy hitter, so a barbarian or something along those lines will work. I'm tempted to have a halfling ranger named Belkar with multi class barbarian (ten points for whoever gets the reference)

We already have a heavy hitter. Also, halfling melee ranger/barbarian is a pretty bad build.

I dunno, Rogue 3/ Monk X ? Becomes hilarious when you add Ki, a haste spell, and Medusa's Wrath to your flanking attacks. Also, panther and/or snake style.

As long as he also embraces the ways of stealth archery.

Had problems navigating the download site. I think I got it now. I'll browse about and try to find something that won't be stupidly overpowered but hilarious as hell.

And the halfling ranger/barbarian was a reference:
One of the most hilarious characters ever.

Right now I do believe we need another melee party member. It'll be nice if you could play something with utility or spellcasting as well.

As long as he also embraces the ways of stealth archery.

You mean ninja archery right ? You never got a ranged sneak attack.

You should get a ring of invisibility sometime, I guess. It's only 20k gp.

Also this Friday when we finish this dungeon (well, if you don't fuck up and lose against my probably overly easy boss) we'll level up. So prepare your level-ups, guys.

Pretty sure we all know OotS.

I can help you with character building if you desire, though.

EDIT:
Gotta read up on that rulebook so I can understand these classes I'm not familiar with, as well as deities. Give me a bit

On that matter, are you ready to play frequently on Wednesday and Saturday, 8pm GMT, for 3 or 4 hours each session ?

Wednesday no problem. Saturday maybe, I'll have to do my D&D campaign in RL at the same time (they probably won't mind too much, I'm an artificer no one likes). GMT is where exactly?
