Unfortunately, said stage is rather necessary. Ah well, only 1 or 2 rounds left after this, depending how much we end up with.

Would there be any objection if I were to skip the 5th round of land shaping and instead give each player a free (compulsory) shape land action next round?

I'd rather use the extra turns for more alignment shifts, or just to have more mana, personally.
