Problem With MWDF
« on: January 11, 2014, 10:52:31 pm »

Allright, I just got version 4.g and after a rather large fight with the orcs, I have several dwarves dead.  Now, I have an issue where I am trying to put beds in my hospital, but everytime my dwarves enter the hospital, I am spammed by "Interrupted by tanner" or "Interrupted by recruit." Random dwarves with no job seem to be running around, randomly spooking everyone they see. IS this a bug?

Also, one of my schizophrenic dwarves is listed as "Opposed to life." What does that mean?

sounds like your schizo has caused a loyalty cascade... If you somehow separate the good from the bad dwarves you may survive with half your fortress alive... (smash the rest...) but usually loyalty cascades are game ending, if not noticed right at the ourbreak

And for your next game disable diseases ^^

its basically a civil war going on at this point, since everyone took sides when your military or another dwarf attacked one of its own, all dwarves will be spooked by the other side till either 1. all dwarves die who were part of the seperation, 2. u start a new world

Part of me thinks that Masterwork should ship with diseases off by default. They're a pretty big surprise, even to more experienced players.

I agree. The balancing was not quite what Halfling was aiming for, not even after Thistleknots rebalance. Especially of it can cause loyality cascades.

I don't even give my schizophrenic dwarves a chance.  They've ended several of my forts.  They go right to the altar of armok for sacrifice or become golems.

There should be a DFHack script that allows fixing loyalty cascades, it's in the "fix" dir I think...

I didn't touch the non contagious diseases.  Didn't know they affected anyone outside themself... go figure

nor did I ever suffer from a schizo dwarf bringing down my fort...  Now I know.
