When Cromwell tries to show them his pipboy Kyle slaps his hand.
"Don't do that."

"Don't do that."

Kira glares at Cromwell as he tries to show the officer the map, and nods slightly when Kyle slaps Cromwell's pipboy out out his hand. She then leans closer to Selina and whispers, "Ask him who the NCR are, and why their convicts are escaping."

"Anything we should know about these criminals, Powder Gangers you said?"

"They are numerous and share many armaments with the Legion. Small guns and Dynamite, though some have been seen using energy weapons on occasion. If they were as organized as we they might make decent combatants but as it stands they are simply a makeshift band of raiders. Their ability to avoid being destroyed entirely is nothing short of remarkable however. Individuals die and are captured yet neither the NCR nor Caeser's Legion have been able to destroy them entirely." The Man in White states paying no mind to Kyle and Cromwell's engagement it seems he has written the two off as little more than jokers.

"I laughed the first time. Tell the joke again and I'll have you lashed to a cross mutant. I have told the five of you the conditions of my assistance. Follow through or leave." The Man in White seems on the verge of violence. It looks like more conversation would be unwise.

Kyle continues to do nothing in reaction to the prick in front of him.

The Man seems to be trembling in rage at this point "I have been given the honor of scouting the lands for the mighty Caeser and do not have time to chase your jokes. If you want my help you will eliminate the Powder Ganger's presence. If you want to keep trying your luck I will have all of you killed here and now. Now, do what I have commanded, leave, or die! It is your choice!"

Selina sighs and turns around to the others.

"...Should we do this? Go to the Powder guys base and..." Selina gulps a bit.

Kyle sighs and shows him the pipboy map.
"There, we have it marked on our maps, if you want we can lead you there to show that we are telling the truth."

The Man in White slaps Kyle’s hand away and forcefully shoves him backwards to create room. ”I warned you dissolute! MEN! FOR CAESER!” so saying the five other men begin advancing on you as the Man in White takes aim with his revolver…

COMBAT INITIATED!

Quote from: Initiative
Legion Recruit 2 vs Dirk Brown

The Legion goes first!

The Legion’s Turn

Quote from: Man In White
Fire at Kyle [-5] [.357 Revolver]
Swing Machete at Kyle [-3]
End Turn [8/8]
0 AC added until next turn

You fire your revolver at the dissolute and he flinches as the bullet strikes. Just as swiftly you draw your machete and take a solid chunk out of his flesh. He will rue the day he disobeyed the legion.

Quote from: Man in White’s Rolls
Fire .357 Revolver at Kyle
Chance to Hit: 95 – 14 = 81%
Roll: 26 [Hit] [-9]

Swing Machete at KyleK
Chance to Hit: 95 – 14 = 81%
Roll: 58 [-7]

Quote from: Legion Recruit 1
Move to E5 [-2]
Swing Knife at Kyle [-3]
End Turn [5/7]
2 AC added until next turn

As soon as the Scout calls you to action you charge the one with the audacity to disobey orders, intent on hacking him to pieces. A swift stab with your knife penetrates his vest and draws a heavy amount of blood.

Quote from: Legion Recruit 1’s Rolls
Swing Knife at KyleK
Chance to Hit: 80 – 14 = 66%
Roll: 66 [-2]

Quote from: Legion Recruit 2
Move to G5 [-2]
Swing Knife at Cromwell [-3]
End Turn [5/7]
2 AC added until next turn

You take your commander’s words to heart as you dash forward intent on attacking the one with glasses. He looks like a worthy opponent, unfortunately his pathetic attempts at dodging seem to say otherwise. Your knife easily sinks into his flesh.
Quote from: Legion Recruit 2’s Rolls
Swing Knife at Cromwell
Chance to Hit: 80 – 10 = 70%
Roll: 35 [-2]

Quote from: Legion Recruit 3
Move to D6 [-4]
Swing Knife at Kyle [-3]
End Turn [7/7]
0 AC added until next turn

Like the others you charge the one who was showing your commander his wrist. You do not know why you have been ordered to attack, maybe they do know something. However, you reflect, it is not your place to question your superiors.

Quote from: Legion Recruit 3’s Rolls
Swing Knife at KyleK
Chance to Hit: 80 – 14 = 66%
Roll: 17 [-3]

Quote from: Legion Recruit 4
Move to D5 [-2]
Swing Knife at Kyle [-3]
End Turn [6/7]
1 AC added until next turn

The offending one seems very weak from his wounds as you drive your blade into his shoulder. Surely he will go down soon. Glory to Caeser!

Quote from: Legion Recruit 4’s Rolls
Swing Knife at KyleK
Chance to Hit: 80 – 14 = 66%
Roll: 62 [-4]

Quote from: Legion Recruit 5
Move to E4 [-2]
End Turn [2/7]
5 AC added until next turn

The wall of your comrades and the cramped quarters leaves little room for you to attack. However, you wait patiently, an opportunity is bound to present itself.

Sorry guys… I did basically everything other than outright say “Stop talking about it, he will attack you.” But… That’s that. Also, KJ, you might want to REAAAAAAALLLLLLLY examine your health. It’s… Not the best right now. Remember children, to retreat, just move off the map.
