Dirk punches the man in the arm, hoping to injure him enough to drop the gun.
((You accidentally put KJ's character sheet into the same spoiler as the battle map.))

Kira immediately spins around and runs two squares to the west. She fires a shot at the man, before returning to her original position.

((How much AP do we each have? And shouldn't I have been over by Kira?))

Crouch down and shoot the man if he isn't already dead by my turn. Shoot as many times necessary.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

You're AP is on your character sheet. Though I think I'm gonna start putting that under your character name instead of your Sequence [which will be rolled for from now on.]

Specifically the formula is as follows: Character Name: (Sequence) + (Luck/2) + (D20) = Sequence Rating

Quote from: Kira
Move twice to the west [-2 AP]
Fire a 9mm Mauser at the Man [-4 AP]
Move twice to the East [-2 AP]
End Turn [8/10 AP used]

Kira is the first to react to the man, despite her distance. Using her natural agility to its maximum effectiveness she dives out from behind the rock formation and fires her Mauser once. It kicks more than she thought it would but she still gets a solid hit on the man who flinches in pain. Dodging back behind the rock before the man can react Kira is forced to rely on her team to finish him before he can do any lasting harm to them.

Quote from: Kira’s Rolls and information
Fire 9mm Mauser at the Man
Chance to Hit: 95%
Roll: 76
Damage: 7 Damage

Kira gains: +2 AC until next round from unspent Action Points

Quote from: Kyle
Move next to man [-3 AP]
Unequip Knife/Equip Fists [-14 AP]
Attack Man [Out of AP]
End Turn [8/8 AP used]

Running next to the man Kyle fully plans on subduing him. After all the man is only acting this way out of desperation. They would all likely do the same right? Unfortunately he fumbles while attempting to place his knife back in its sheath causing him to take too long to do anything.

Quote from: Kyle’s Rolls and Information
No Rolls…

Kyle gains +1 AC this turn due to remaining Action Points

Quote from: Cromwell
Shoot Man [-4 AP]
Shoot Man [-4 AP]
End Turn [8/10 AP used]

Cromwell felt surprisingly calm as he dropped to one knee and lines up the shot. Firing twice, swiftly, he managed to hit the man in the arm and in the throat. The man seemed surprised at this, as he had just recently been shot by Kira, but that didn’t stop him from trying to stop the bleeding. Sadly he was unable to stop the bleeding. He died choking on his own blood. It was relatively painless compared to the death that awaited him.

Quote from: Cromwell’s Rolls and Information
Fire 9mm Mauser at the Man
Chance to Hit: 80%
Roll: 80
Damage: 5

Fire 9mm Mauser at the Man
Chance to Hit: 80%
Roll: 27
Damage: 4

COMBAT OVER!
Group Gains:  +50 XP for Combat victory
Selina Gains: +25 XP for Successful Chekcs

The group simply stared at the dead man for several moments. They’d been in the wasteland less than a day and they’d already seen someone driven to madness by pain. Was this what awaited them if they waited too long in this arid hellscape? They didn’t know. It was the very start of their journey and they were already frightened but… Something about this fight had proven to themselves that they COULD survive out here as long as they worked as a team.

For now however they felt more comfortable focusing on the task at hand, which was getting to Vault 225 and fixing what needed fixed. Right now, nothing else mattered.

Spoiler: Pip-boy Map (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Kyle Johnson/Kj1225 (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Selina/Ranger Cado (click to show/hide)

A little too easy I’d think but hey, that’s just how it is when 5 healthy people gang up on a frightened injured man who can’t even move.

At any rate, congratulations on your first victory! Enjoy your small experience gain. Eventually you will all be wrestling death-claws!

In case you didn’t notice for combat you want to roll UNDER your chance to hit. How do you get critical? Rolling under your critical chance. So if you have a 80% chance to hit and a 5% critical chance, if you roll a 5 you not only hit but you also CRITICAL hit. So yep… What do you guys do now?

Also, it'd be kinda nice if you guys picked a name for your group so that I have something to call you as a collective other than "The Group". Anything's fine by me.

Kyle turns to Cromwell looking like he's about to yell at him but then just stalks off looking angry.
Continue on to 4D.

((The Vaulters? *ducks the obvious slaps for being cheesy*.))

Selina stared blankly at the dead man, her features twitching slightly at the situation. Was this what it was truly like out here? Kill or be killed all the way through? Whatever the case she gave a small response they they should get going to the vault. (D4)

Kyle hangs around Selina for the trip talking with her about what happened back there.

Selina doesn't respond much, seeming a bit reserved right now.

"At least I made it quick."
Head to d4.
"He chose that when he fired on us."

Kyle pointedly ignores Cromwell instead talking to Selina about how interesting the flora of the wastes if.

Kira nods, "Nothing else we could have done in that situation. Now let's get going before someone else shows up to investigate the gunshots."

Head to D4.

((Tunnel Snakes rule! Err... Calling us the Group/Party should be fine for now. Still thinking of a better name.))

Dirk looks at the man's corpse for a second, then says "Well, at least hisdeath was quick. Pity we couldn't do anything about it. We should at least check his body for anything useful, though."
Loot the man's body. Then go to D4.
((Group/party seems alright for now. We should decide to name our group later, since we might find a more suitable name.))

Kyle slowly looks like he's gonna explode as everyone except Selina does seem to see the gravity of a situation.
"Well maybe if you hadn't just shot him I could have subdued him and calmed him down!"
