You sucked all the sexuality out of him and hogged it for yourself. There was none left for him.
He frequently makes that joke.

Actually, apart from the joke, younger siblings have a tendency to behave slightly opposed to older siblings. My (much) younger brother is the exact opposite of me in many ways. He has yet to bring a girl home at an age where I had already run off to live with one.

There is a general concensus with that with child behaviorists-- well..

The stated assertion is that the oldest sibling tends to exhibit the greatest degree of willful independence at all ages of development, regardless of gender.

It's late and I don't feel like looking up sources, but you are free to look it up yourselves. :)

I am beginning to think I am asexual. I've never really felt a strong romantic attraction to anyone, or a sexual one, or at least I've never been able to identify any of my feelings as such, even if I can't identify some of them as anything else either. People always say "you'll know it when you feel it," so I guess not.

I find myself unable to identify whether or not people are attracted to me, either.

I am certain of my asexuality, as I have literally been in love, butterflies and gooeyness and all-- and sex was at best an ancilliary concept relegated to something done for another. (In the same sense as a massage, only much more personal and intimate.)

The person *was* female, but I don't think that is a requirement for me to fall in love. What is, is they must have a *wonderful* mind.

Confident and collected, cool, rational and beautifully elegant in the nature of their thoughts.

It's early as hell and I don't wanna read anything yet, but I'm familiar with the general concept.  :D

I find myself unable to identify whether or not people are attracted to me, either.
That is generally difficult, if you don't hang around with very extroverted people. You can learn to pick up clues, but it's rarely 100% sure.

My mother had 3 boys, and the younger was the more sexual (hetero as far I know) of all. I'm the older.

That's the deal with statistics. They say what your odds are. Not what the dice will show.

You just can't read the cues, it's not a thing people are born with, it's learned. If you see someone who seems like he didn't learn this, it's just that he picked it up from his parents the same way people pick it up from interacting with other people.

And both sexual and romantic attraction is something that emerges over time with interacting with the person. Oooor, you could just have the bad luck of running into completely unlikeable people most of the time - I know I used to have this problem.

If you masturbate, you're not asexual.

Not necessarily.

I know somebody who masturbates, but is sickened by the thought of actually having sex with another person.

Scientifically not true. People may seek purely physical gratification from it, and not of any object of sexual feeling when they do it. However, now that you mention it, I've never done it.

I tend to form small groups of extremely close friends, and I've got many of both genders, but I've never felt attracted to any of them. I prefer to be in their company whenever possible, but I don't think that counts.

I'm curious as to what they masturbate to, but that would probably be well outside the limits of the forum rules.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Usually pornography... ?  I know such a person.  They've tried having sex with people of both genders that they found attractive, and were like NOPE I don't want to do anything with your parts, NOOOOOOOPE.

I think the idea was whether it's women or men or whatever, making them people who aren't asexual, just have some other hang-ups in that matter.
