Which way do you guys stir things?

I noticed today that I almost exclusively stir things in a counterclockwise direction. Trying it the other way felt weird.

Clockwise. If you stir counter clockwise you never know what you will summon from the abyss. Better safe that sorry, don't want some ancient construct wrecking your shit.

My set of teaspoons which is set aside for the express purpose of helping with the processing of beverages has an oval handle, which means that in case I actually need to stir anything I spin it between my fingers in whichever direction is comfortable. Usually back and forth.

Cake batter and the like I usually do counterclockwise, while the last time I were preparing gelatin I were stirring the mix in a clockwise fashion. Of course, this doesn't mean that the method I enjoy preferring the most is throwing the things that demand mixing into a jar or other container and rocking said container back and forth until a measure of success is confirmed. It's sort of more satisfying like that, you know?

Vertically, up on the side toward me and down on the side away. Otherwise counterclockwise, though.

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Counter clockwise, fast enough to create a vortex and be amazed the liquid doesn't flow over the lip of the cup.

Figure eights, clockwise on the left and counterclockwise on the right.

... depends on what I'm stirring. Also occasionally what I'm stirring with. Stirring direction and method with spoon or fork or knife can be different. Stirring tea is very different from stirring, say, mashed potatoes or cake batter.

As a general thing, though, I tend to stir a few different ways every time. Both directions, then kinda' zig-zaggy across, then probably, like, up and down or somethin'. Get that stuff mixed in good and maybe have a little fun in the process, too. Variety, spice, etc.

Stick straw/spoon/stirring utensil of the day in the center of liquid. Flick left and right quickly but not quickly enough to spill.

People seem to think it's weird but it's how I've done it all the time.

Counter-clockwise. Not sure if that's how I've always done it or what, but it feels far more natural.
Sometimes my OCD commands that I alternate between that and clockwise, but that hardly counts.

It's pretty random most of the time, but mostly counter-clockwise out of feeling by motion.

It's rare that I ever have cause to stir anything, but when I do I often stir one direction, then immediately start stirring the other (probably clockwise first).
