April 9, 1940. 9:00 AM CET"Ja, vi elsker dette landet," you reply, as you put your hands up. The soldier cracks a smile, albeit serious, before replying "som det stiger frem." You then show him your ID card from the mine (they don't let just anyone have access to that much dynamite without verifying who you are, after all.) "Well, looks like you. Guess I'll bring you to camp, they're evacuating every civilian they can find." Later, as you walk, you tell him about the soldier you found in your living room, holding the pistol. The soldier's face darkens, before he asks to look at the pistol. After looking at it, he says, softly, "I knew him. He was a good man, and this pistol was his pride and joy. M1911, not the kind we build here, but an actual American one, shipped all the way across the Atlantic. You can keep it, if you want." (Encyclopedia Entry Added Once I Get Around To It! Jurgen's M1911!) When you reach the camp, you are put in a refugee camp. Everything was chaotic, everyone refusing to believe that this was real. When a Norwegian soldier came to get you, you were about to rip your hair out. He took you to the general's tent, which surprised you. Then, out of the blue, the general started talking, to you. Not to one of his officers or aides, but to you. He explained, "We need a guide. We need to know how to get in, where the German's are, and where we need to go. If you're willing to help, grab a uniform and give us a plan. If you don't want to help, go back out there to the nutcases." He says, pointing past his officers. "No, no. Not those nutcases, the CIVILIAN nutcases."
Lotta words. You're lucky you got out soon, any later and I would've rolled to see if you got attacked by Germans, and let's just say you didn't roll a 20. Also, getting ninjaed by Helgoland and Leo. It's an honor. EDIT: Encyclopedia Resistica and Character Sheet have been updated
