Good series, wouldn't of minded a longer one but for the purposes of the let's play I can see why you preferred a more compact and faster paced playthrough, it probably would of been much less interesting if you were playing on the speeds I prefer to have my 4x games at.

Maybe for a sequel to this series you should dig out Galactic Civilizations II (Also by Stardock) for a campaign?

Fuck yeah, glad you mentioned Gal Civ II been a favorite of mine for years, don't worry it is on the table! I just got to bat the dust off! Which will probably be a longer campaign. Fallen Enchantress gets a bit stale long term and all the random events are way to crazy. Where as Gal Civ has better long term appeal I think. Plus everyone loves it so they'll get into it.
