Propeller on front of plane. Propeller on "north" of wing. Cockpit on "North" of wing. Propeller therefore on front of wing. Therefor, looking forward.
This is what I intended too. Wing propellers face forward, body ones face back (because the have to)

It doesn't really matter though, it would work either way.



I remember thinking about multiple ships like that. Not sure I ever wrote rules for it. I might have though. Regardless, it should be the same as big ones; just that they can fly off wherever they want independently and will probably be much easier to shoot down individually.

In which case the prop would be INSIDE the "jet"?

Seriously, I can't actually make anything because paint sucks. What would you guys recommend for this? (Something free please :P)

While it wasn't the best choice for this project (I had some moments of frustration), Paint.net is free, and has layers. You can wand the grid, copy it, and put it in the top layer so you don't have to repair it, ever (work under it).
Gimp is free. It has layers as well, but I had trouble wanding the grid, so used Paint.net.
Seashell is free, but I'm not sure if it's avalible for anything but really old macs. Really, if I could find it again, and it would work on this computer, I would never use anything else. It's like a cross between MS Paint and Paint.net, with layers AND easy to use controls.

Ok, so far we have flabort's ships (just looked over them again, dang those puppies are fast, also, you only need a single ammo dump, although having multiples will let you draw ammo from multiple places) and that's it so far.

So unless we get some more submissions for ship designs, this battle will very... interesting, with quite the number of ships on each team.

Well, I wouldn't exactly feel comfortable making ships myself for you guys to use, since I'm the one running it, so hopefully you feel less lazy soon, because I would like to start a game of this relatively soon.

Actually, I only have 1 ammo dump, the other room is a Supply room, which the guide says is for storing other, non-ammo stuff, such as crew weapons, personal stuff, booze, and FOOD. And hammocks and stuff, I guess.

Starts a game where players have to photoshop their own stuff.
Sees how long it takes to make first ship.

*deep breath* All right, reserved. I'll try to come up with a suitable ship within the next three or so days. Is that acceptable?
As a side note, this is probably the most effort participating in an RTD has ever required of me. I'm quite excited about all this.

I Made everything for the game in paint. With a laptop touchpad instead of a mouse as well.

It's really not that bad. All you have to do is reconnect the grid you've overwritten when you're done.

Ok, I'm going to allow people to post their characters in this thread, since after some thought, it would make more sense to do both construction and sign-ups in the same thread and keep the actual game in it's own thread.

If you can make your own sheet, then just tell me in this thread what you want your character to have, and I'll do it for you.
I will also be the one making all of your weapons/equipment.

So, SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN.

Your stats are fine, however your skills are not. You have to take general skills before you can take specialized skills.
Also, not sure if you know this or not, but you can put multiple points into the same thing.

The way your skills should look would be this.

Ranged 1
-hand guns 1
-rifles 1
Piloting 1
-Airships 1
Speech 1
-Persuasion 1
-Intimidation 1

If you wanted to take all of those, but that would require 8 points, and you only have 5.
Also, what two weapons would you like?
