Ooh, as in buying everything BUT a level? :D

Remember, though, that there's already a TEXP element in PTU. It's 10 TEXP for a level here.

Am I correct in assuming that the intended first meeting is gonna be this week?

Yep. Tomorrow. Sometime after 5 PST. Likely 7 or 8.

D-did I seriously spell Palkia wrong?  Wow that's embarrassing.  I'll be more on top of it here on out.
And maybe I did makes some mistakes, the sheet was copied from another game and it was kinda late at night when I finished.  I'll go over it again right now.
Kinda see what you mean with the background, but I was having a hard time thinking what would be the best fit.  Was focusing on the 'military training' aspect, but I see your point about Occult.

Edit: Yeah, those errors in skills were left over from the copying, thought I'd caught all the changes.  Went ahead and swapped Occult for Acrobatics per your suggestion Kuji.

Should we be waiting for maptools connection info then, or is there a chat place where we should be heading to for pregame stuff and thing?

Generally we just wait for the connection info. There is a difference between the server being up and actually starting play though.

Indeed. You should always come as soon as the server starts. I'd be cool to get to know you guys a bit better :D

So I have some good news and some bad news.

Good news, I finally found some work.
Bad news, it's Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights.

So unfortunately I will be unable to participate in this game. I bid you all a farewell and good gaming.

Good luck, and thanks for applying. You clearly put a ton of work into your character, so on some level, it must suck to give it all up.

On the bright side, this means that no faction has more than one representative among the PCs.

On the not-so-bright side, all those cool laser guns I've dreamed up as loot are fairly useless now.

Oh I'll definitely take one of those fancy guns too.  Well, not a super fancy one, but hoping to loot a basic pistol ASAP.

And congrats on the job, good luck with that.
