Hey WS, if you're still here, I'm looking at dipping into the Blessed and Damned book.  Just the touched/minor gift edge for now, anything more I'd save for in-game progression.  Looking specifically at Palika, he is the master of space after all.  Just thought I'd ask approval first.

Also, looking at vehicle stuff and my plans of pilotry, would it be possible to sacrifice the entirety of my starting credits for a flying personal vehicle?  It's a fair bit over the budget, but given that it's only a single item somewhat restricted in usage (outside the ship), is tied to backstory, and I wouldn't be able to get anything else at all to start, figured I might as well ask.  If not I can always save up for the future.

Probably gonna move away from the TDD with my concept, since so many others seem to be going for them.  Still a former member of the ship's guard/military, but left them and is now strongly in the Blood Unity camp.  Maybe ties to Red Oracle?  We'll see.  It's coming together.

Yeah. I'm going to have to say no on the flying machine to begin with. Just wouldn't be fair to everybody else.

As for Touched, I guess you could go that route. I will however demand that you get permission each time you wish to take divine stuff though.

Felt I should add that since Cassian's pokebot isn't a combat model and he's not much for damage dealing I shelled out for him to have another Pokemon (Custom-printed Golett). I hope it's not too late to make the change.

(His sheet is still here)

Not a problem.  Thought I might have a bit of a case for it, so figured I might as well ask, but totally understand why not.
And of course I'd never take any more legendary feats without permission, I figure that's the sort of thing that has to be earned plot-wise first.

Anyways, here it is.  Still need to clean up the backstory to make it look prettier, finish names and a few other pieces of fluff, and nab some pictures.  But for now I need to actually get some sleep.

Questions I thought up last night: What the moral implications of pokeballs? Is it morally okay to capture pokemon? Humans? If yes to Pokemon and no too humans is that because humans are special (which seems unlikely from what has been mentioned before) or is it just racism? If gods exist in this setting how has Arceus not smited all your NPCs? We know what they have been doing.

The command gene is rare, and hardly ever tested for, so not too many people spend too much time worrying about the ethics of Pokeballs. Some individuals have strong views about Pokeball use, but as long as you don't go around capturing fellow shipmates without a good reason, nobody is going to give you much trouble.

Any grand moral investigation of the gameworld's society should wait until the game starts.

Our seven co-commanders are...

And yes. I had to do seven. There were too many good applications. Even the ones I didn't pick were for the most part pretty good. I neither hope nor expect for seven people to show up for each session, but I should be able to balance things by throwing more dudes into the battle until it seems even.

Zhong Hui (Upgrader/Warper) (No Faction)
Velix Hex (Scientist/Engineer) (Academy of Hector)
Ivanova Korishnikov (Telepath/Rogue) (Torterra Defense Division/Blood Unity Party)
Marcello Abracchi (Soldier/Upgrader) (Malone Litter)
Samuel (Soldier) (Blood Unity Party)
Gerald Rojas (Rogue) (No Faction)
Ethan Corval (Martial Artist/Ninja) (Torterra Defense Division)

Alright, after having an issue pointed out in my sheet, it's been updated to reflect the changes. Gerald is going to be one dodgy bastard though, in a literal way. :P

Alright, it's time for sheet check- OH GOD WHY DO PEOPLE INSIST ON USING COLORS FOR THEIR SHEETS

...

Okay, after putting a good fair amount of eye drops, I think I can look at these sheets and not feel like I have to kill my eye in order to do so.

  • Ivanova: Get permission for your custom background next time. Also, IIRC, the first faction edge is actually free, unless you wait until after character creation to take it. Oh, two factions. Whoops.
  • Marcello: Same with Ivanova on the custom background thing. Don't forget to change the name as well. You're not allowed to take Adept Skills twice at level 2, change your second edge for that level.
  • Samuel: God, Weird, did you approve of all of these by PM or something? So many people with custom backgrounds, and no one has actually said anything about them. You DEFINITELY... got permission for that, okay. Don't forget to spell Palkia right. It's disrespectful to him to have it consistently wrong, and you don't wanna be warped out of the campaign.
  • Gerald: I swear, you have the same "Kuji will figure it out" attitude that Lilli does. Alright, let me open up Notepad and try to discern what you did. ...alright, your sheet gets a pass. Remember that you still need a background, though you can take "Just an Average Guy" and Rank Up askill without having to subtract one.
  • Ethan: ...if there's one thing I can say that black-red-white sheet does well, is that it has a nice field for looking at prereqs. I'm going to assume you are not a cheater, and give you and Velix a pass.
And... that's it for now! Don't forget to change up your sheets!

I don't have an issue with custom backgrounds.

I didn't even know they were something you usually asked permission for...

...to be fair, all of them seem balanced. You just gotta make sure they actually fit the character, and the skills actually fit.

EDIT: MOST of them. Taking another look... Sam's might be called into question. The positives, I get. The negatives... not so much. Charm and Guile get a shaky pass. Occult Edu... should be replaced with something more relevant. There's a lot of pilots who pray to make sure they don't crash. I'd go with... I was just about to say Acro, but it looks like you've already assumed I'd do so. Huh.

Wait a minute. Something seems wrong with the sheet...

Ramiel, you didn't include what happened with Acro and Intuit in there.

@Weird: Good to be playing with you again, I may be relegated to a background role at times since I work on Fridays (most of the time, winter, not so often). Will there be forum turns? I can probably do some good stuff in the background if I need to if we do have them.

Also, it's Velik, but that's just me nitpicking :P

:p

(You've played in a Weird game before, so you should know how this faction stuff will play out... but then again, you were actually allied with a faction last game, so...)

No form turns. I'm not doing forum turns for seven people on top of my forum turns for Magia. Might have some minor forum elements though.

I might bring back the TEXP system from Treazure. I'll bet Tar and Kuji have fond memories of that...
