On one hand, having a commander attached to each faction could be beneficial to us. The factions would feel they have a representative (or puppet) and might be less hostile to us in the future if we do something they don't agree with. So long as one of us isn't attached and they are the one that addresses the factions in representation of the commanders as a whole, we should be golden.

On the other hand, someone being forced into a faction is seriously damaging to the morale of the group. We also won't likely even have each faction represented either, making one likely to feel left out and be more likely to be hostile in the future. So the less people associated with a faction the better.

In other words, faction association will probably need to be an all or nothing affair. We'll want either everyone represented or no one at all. The Commanders need to look both unbiased and fair. Even if, internally, we actually aren't. The better call here might be that, while we may agree with the ideals of one faction over the other, we shouldn't be a member of any. In a sense, we're our own faction now.

So while I was leveling Pepper from a Beldum to a Metang I noticed that I had an extra edge I hadn't chosen. I stuck it in medic training so Bails can heal folks in battle now without them having to hold a turn after. d:

Oh, it also turns out that I accidentally designed him to qualify for Mastermind. This actually lines up pretty well with his back story (I can see him being groomed for something like mastermind before deciding to become a chef instead), so it's possible he could end up going mastermind and medic in the future. Just not sure which one he'll do first. I guess how we decide to handle his, ah, mental hiccups will determine that.

EDIT: Hey, how much experience did we get from the last battle?

Not today. If I can do it this week, it will be tomorrow or Tuesday.

I'll probably join for that RP session, just to see if I can't take Velik off the bridge.

Oh good. I wouldn't have been able to make it today. Tomorrow isn't great for me, but would be possible. Tuesday would be best.

Alright. It looks like the RP session, if we are having it, will be tonight. The new players, if they have their sheets ready, are welcome to attend. Now that we have two vacancies, I'd say both Gents and Anise are in.

I'm kind of busy at this exact moment. I probably won't be free for at the very least two hours. You don't have to hold the game for me if I'm late.

If this happens, I'll be double-gaming again, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Server is up. I may have to take some longish AFK time over the next few hours though...
