I sorta want the dig site for more than just stopping the BUP, I want what could be there. The BUP are being jackasses, we stop them and show them that trying to undermine us and the other factions is a bad idea. Invite the TDD and/or Academy along to the site to boost their relations, and we keep the BUP busy until we jump so they can't try another coup de tat, which is the main reason I say we charge now.

And what Cript said about being able to hold the charge also applies, we can charge up then wait if we have the time.

I still say we jump before the Ditto becomes a problem and avoid it entirely. We do not need to deal with it, it's too dangerous, and it offers little reward. We're not here to help the planets we go to, we're here to survive, and going against it is a suicide mission. Once again, Velik will not join you to fight the thing, and, if things look bad, he will order the ship to jump with or without the other commanders.

Additionally, I don't give a flying rattata's ass if the BUP get pissed off at us, they picked the fight, now they have to back off or face being opposed by the commanders at every turn. At this point, Velik is (passively) against the BUP, if they keep trying to sabotage the other factions and us, they're going down. That's the same for all the factions.

My vote still stands on the Dig Site, then Aldo, then training sim, followed by a jump unless something pressing comes up. You want the sim now, do it on your own, I go off on my own to do research and get quite a bit out of it, so someone else doing the same shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, if Velik ever even tries to ditch us on anything higher than a Yellow alert, I may need to see if we can vote him off the bridge.

At this point, Velik seems like he is too engrossed in his work to be a commander. We'll need someone else to do it.

(NTS: Talk to Hector about that.)

I am also against holding the charge. I would not like to risk engine damage, if possible. I'd rather keep our engines be able to jump in three clicks, thank you.

The problem with taking down the factions is that they're such an integral part of this ship's politics and economy that trying to would cause more anarchy than we'll be able to handle. We have a responsibility to take care of, and keep safe, the innocent people on our ship. Their trust is being thrust onto us, and if we want to keep it (and subsequently the power it allows us) we have to at least act as though we care deeply for their wants and needs. That might mean swallowing our pride, or biting our tongues, to keep the factions content.

The dig site has good potential for us. It could bring in some decent reward that we can use to benefit the ship, with the added bonus of keeping it from looking like we want to ignore the factions.

Just avoiding the giant ditto is probably the smart move. It won't win us a lot of points with the locals, but they really aren't our main concern.

(On a more selfish note, I really wanna check out those honeycomb aliens before they get purged. I don't know when I'll have another chance to find a drone with honey gather. Unless I'm entirely mistaken on what the honeycomb asteroid had on it. I'm just making assumptions based on the name. This is something I could do alone though if Bailey gets told about them at some point.)

They have honey gather, except it produces crystal instead IIRC

So what mission did we decide to do next? Or did it not come to a consensus and we must vote?

I don't think it did. We'll probably need to vote.

Yeah. Can I have a straight up or down vote please, with your picks not buried in walls of text?

Voting for the salvage op, the gym battle or the dig site. Whichever one has the most votes.

Welp, three votes for the dig site. I don't think we have a choice.

If you vote for Gym battle that gives two votes each with Tarcius not voting for anything. But. Eh. Dig site is good enough for me.
