I vote the shopping trip as well, though I'd likely stay behind to do some reverse engineering since I spent most of my money already and the only thing I'd really want is a better weapon or some light armor, the latter of which is out of my price range.

That and I'm gonna be about two hours late to the session again, for some reason Big Lots decided to move my work day to Thursday only a few weeks after I started playing on here.

Just going to post what I put on the Pokemon Tabletop Forums thread, on the off chance somebody who isn't playing still follows this thread.

Quote
A spot has opened up for anybody looking to play. Remember to post your sheets and introduce yourself on the b12 Thread
Follow the rules for character creation outlined in the OP, with the following changes:

-You start at TL4.
-The first faction edge you take grants two Pokemon from the list instead of just one.
-You get 700 EXP to spread among your starters as you see fit.
-We already have players aligned with the TDD and Academy. Your chances of getting picked will be better if neither of those are your only faction.
-We are playing tonight. Early bird gets the Wurple, so if you get a sheet up in a hurry, you also have a good chance of getting in. If no good sheets are ready by then, I invite applicants to come and watch anyway. Game should start sometime between 11 and 13 hours from now. Server name will be something like 'Pokemon Wild Space', and the password will be unekaru

Hey there, fellows. Since I haven't seen any posts saying the new slot got grabbed yesterday, I worked up a character sheet for next Thursday.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KA2S2FjxGHy0Z1QHKlSEJrMpHq_J9nPMMrxgqQXlJTM/edit#gid=1134362099

Now, I'm an old school roleplayer (started with ADnD 2E, got most of my experience in DnD 3.5, recently doing Pathfinder, a PTU game, and Fate Core) and like the RP quite a bit more than the fighting. So if this game is a bit of a dungeon crawl I'm probably not well suited for it.

Sorry if the back story on the character is too sparse for your liking. This is probably a lame and self bell ringing excuse, but I write for a living. I kind of don't have time to do up short story length character backgrounds. d: I can certainly expand on it if you'd like though.

PTU is a fresh system for me, and I am bogglingly awful at basic math, so it's entirely likely I did something wrong on that sheet despite it having as much autocalc as could be fit into it. (You might also notice that it's a bastardized version of the AEBPa. I just really liked its format and have adapted it to be my go to PTU sheet.) I also made the character with the 1.04 rule set as I recall reading in the first post that you would be switching to that when the information came out. If you haven't yet I don't mind reverting.

I kind of went for a non-battle focused build with the chef. I saw that you have plenty of fighter types already about, with the only potential healer being the Scientist. I almost mixed Jailbreaker into the build as a hobby for the character, but I doubt you need anything like that when you've got an Engineer and an Upgrader.

You guys can very easily contact me on skype (serenityfrost42) which I use recreationally and google+ (serenityfrost42@gmail.com) which I use for work. I'm pretty much always online either working or screwing around. I'd love to chat the character and his concept out with you to make sure that he and I will be good fit for this game. Just let me know who you are if you contact me, otherwise I might think you're a bot.

Hope you get loads of fun people to pick from for your 5th!

Just gonna repost what I put on the PTU board:

Quote
Alright. Deadline for anybody else to apply is noon tomorrow, Pacific Time.

If nobody else does, Serenity Frost is in.

Also, here is some homebrew stuff, including the fruits of Velik's tinkering around. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1THdYxrPmem45XuSO0gs8W9uvWqpO3KgcKc0UKieanC0/edit?usp=sharing

Also, Serenity, if you do get in, I will try to find time to flesh out your character tomorrow night or Wed. No promises though. It is a busy week for me.

On that note, what do you all want to do next? If you picked something that I haven't genned up yet, we might have to start a bit late as I may not be able to do it ahead of time. Luckily, I got alot of stuff genned up already, so hopefully that wont be an issue.

Alright, are we going to try taking a crack at that orange alert this time around or did anyone else have a different suggestion?

I want to avoid the orange alert, they have several ships already on it, we do not need to get involved, we do, we're risking ourselves and the ship. I think we should check the distress signal or dig site, personally, they're low risk targets with the possibility for a decent reward. I also say we start charging the engines since we haven't done so yet.

Sure thing, Weird. But Wednesday nights I have a regular business meeting that I can't really skip out on. I usually spend the day putting final touches on anything that has a deadline then or refreshing myself on what we'll be talking about. In other words, Wednesdays usually have me way too busy to do anything that isn't work related.

On that note, if you do find yourself to also be too busy, that's perfectly okay. While I'd rather have some small details about my character worked out, I'm pretty comfortable rolling with whatever you say is relevant for him to know or be doing. When roleplaying with new people in a setting I'm not familiar with, I usually set my character's personality and backstory to easy mode.

Was that last session the end of the day? I think it was said that three sessions was a "day" and I am pretty sure that was the sixth session.

Also, I think we should distress call? The orange alert seems too dangerous.

Guess we're checking out that distress call. No need to charge the engines at this stage though...

I wouldn't be opposed to charging the engines though. Unless there is some downside to charging and releasing the charge over and over we might as well.

I'm pretty sure fuel costs alone would do it.
