Wall construction

Hello Guys, girls and dwarfes!

I have a quick ( stupid ) question.

See how to construct walls? So do I! Just that it doesnt actually work.

I mined to much and cant build walls to ...yknow, build them because i need them (found a underground cave with fun stuff in which i want to wall off so it doesnt have an entrance point to my fortress Because thats sure as hell gonna be fun.)

So how to actually build walls?

(b), (C) note the capital letter, (w), then with (h) and (k) you can adjust how broad and with (u) and (m) how long.

some things to note: not every place is viable for building a wall and you need building materials

if it doesn't work, you're doing something wrong

(b) should bring up the build menu
(C) brings up constructions
(w) selects walls

are you using any mods or plug-ins?

Oh it works now. The thing that i did wrong was most likely not noting the capital letter.  didnt look all that capital to me either.
