I know, I know, we're not at war right now, but there's a good reason for this. Homeland security of a sort. You see, for as long as we've been settling west of the Appalachian mountains, there have been monsters attacking these settlements. We've just kind of accepted it as a fact of life before now, but with this whole civil war deal over, President Grant wants to colonize the west, and that means getting rid of the monsters. Now, I'm not gonna lie, casualty rates will be high, and if our previous extermination attempts are anything to go by, they'll be EXTREMELY high, but you'll be compensated for it all, and there's one distinct advantage that you guys have. You see, all of our previous extermination attempts were done by one-man squads. You guys are gonna be sent out in teams of five to help even the odds. Speaking of which, you guys will get to decide on your own teams, so you should probably start introducing yourselves and seeing who you want to work with before fill you in on the first job."
