Julia walks to the front of the group and turns toward them.
"You two, listen. No, wait, all of you listen. I know you like to do your macho bravado thing, but we're going to fight something with unknown capabalities. I ask you only to merely tolerate each other for now, and after this fight you can insult each other to your heart's content. Understand?

After readying her weapons, she continues moving items off of the train.

"With all due respect, you are neither my mother nor my commander. It's not like I'm arguing during combat, and I can work and argue at the same time. And I'm not actually going to shoot Corran in the back, so rest easy and lay off me, please." Otto hoists up another box and stashes it next to the others.

Sunan jumps out of the train and gives his guitar a strum. "No?"

Corran winces then claps Otto on the back.

"Calm down, she's been alone for a long time unlike the two of us who both had if not family then companions we spent a lot of time with. She's not used to the way that fighters tend to bicker when they have free time.

Now apologize or that rifle your so fond of goes in an unpleasant place.

Out of frustration, Julia grips one of the boxes of supplies tightly and slams it down on top of one of the others, making the supplies clank inside. She goes off to the far side of the group and starts cleaning the Winchester rifle off.

Sunan rolls his eyes and takes a box of supplies off of the train for a seat. "What a fine group of heros you guys make."

Otto turns to face Corran, his face wearing a not-smile. "Who is it exactly I should apologise to? I don't appreciate being patronized, Corran. Not by anyone. This discussion is over. Are we good?" The not-smile vanishes.

"Her not me, you didn't need to be so harsh when she was trying to help. As mature as she may be she's a child who was forced to grow up to quickly. Now go and tell her your sorry for snapping at her.

I'm not fussed much about what you say, I grew up amongst warriors so random arguments and petty squabbles are a natural part of being around fighting men to me.

"You seem to be misunderstanding me - you are no more my commander than she is. I meant every word of what I said to her, and I have no intention of taking them back - and I didn't snap on her, I was civil, which a mature person like her should understand.
As for growing up among warriors, I don't know. I grew up among townsfolk, and spent the last six years in the Kaiser's army, and nowhere I have seen a person so prone to forcing opinions on people as you. Can we drop this discussion now, or are you going to play white knight as well as Viking warrior?"

Otto's expression is serious now, and there's a strange, nervous tension in his stance. His face is calm, but his fingers are moving constantly, balling into fists, then uncurling, then crossing, then splaying out.

Sunan rolls his eyes and interposes himself between the pair. "Can you two please drop this argument until we finish the mission? You two can have a duel at high-noon afterwards if you still want to kill each other. Besides, I only know so many Confederate marching tunes and I don't want to exhaust them within the hour."

Corran looks at him for a minute then his face settles into a look of disinterest as he turns away.

"Don't expect me to stand between you and the beings we've come to fight, you've convinced me that your life is not worth the risk of damage to my shield.

Julia stops cleaning her rifle for a moment, looks up, and gives Sunan a quick small nod. She doesn't say anything though, not wanting more snide comments her way, and goes back to cleaning the Winchester.

"Aye. I know it's stupid, but... People who try to force me to apologize have always pissed me off. What's the use of an apology that isn't heartfelt? Oh well. I have no interest in this argument." Otto walks off to get another crate, not gracing Corran with a reply.

Julia stops cleaning her rifle for a moment, looks up, and gives Sunan a quick small nod. She doesn't say anything though, not wanting more snide comments her way, and goes back to cleaning the Winchester.

Sunan grins and tips his abomination of a hat in Julia's direction.

Walking away from Otto Corran wanders over to Julia and settles himself on the floor.

"Sorry about that "mum".

Corran says his voice slightly amused.

"Ignore him, I intend to from now on."

Corran looks back at Sunan briefly.

"Otto? Oh you mean that guy who just died. No problem, as far as I'm concerned he's dead and buried."
