Hunter is not hunting *solved itself

I just made a wooden crossbow, a leather quiver and some bone bolts. When i enabled the huning labour, my dwarf picked up the crossbow and quiver, but not the bolts. So he is not hunting. I can't seem to figure this out. Anyone sees what i'm doing wrong?

edit* Nevermind, he just started hunting after some minutes. Strange, he just stood at my meeting area with no job in the list.

He was probably waiting for the haulers to put down the bins containing the equipment.

I believe the animals where at the other side of the river, and i had not made a bridge yet.
