It's what friends do...
« on: January 03, 2014, 10:38:16 am »

So I'm just playing my fort all innocent-like when I decide to check out a sparring session between two dwarves named after myself and a friend. I see this.

So obviously I'm wondering why the crap I wasn't fighting back (I was the Axe Lord, you see). I go to their barracks and it all becomes clear.

Has anyone else seen this happen before?

Wow, haha!  Man, talk about how different sparring is these days compared to the previous version!  I remember when sparring with real weapons ran the risk of dismemberment and death... even for dwarves who weren't part of the match.  I once had a dwarf who was killed when he got too close to a sparring match.  I didn't even think friendly fire was possible, but he got hit in the throat somehow and died :(.

I don't remember if you get skill from attacking an unconscious creature, but I do know for certain you don't get credit when you yourself are asleep and are attacked.

Please enlighten me to the relationship between the two. I'm hoping for this to be a case of two dwarves who hate each other.
