Tribulations in Magic: comeback from the tentacles of defeat!
« Reply #2763 on: January 04, 2016, 01:44:06 pm »

Turn 139

Cry Myself into Self-Control

Repeat the last words I tried

It should still be in PM.

Seriously my luck is the shittiest

Your crying reduces its intensity until it is not more than a sob. Now you can probably speak something that can be understood. You are still sad, of course.

[Pot:5+1=6]
You are filled with energy, golden particles rapidly and constantly emanating from your glowing body. Yet the magical energy is not totally controlled, and it activates without you asking for it to do so (you were going to do this anyway, but you feel a little impotent because of this). With a flash of light, you become a heavy man of concrete. But, more importantly, you seem to be able to feel beyond your own body. That inert leg, while you still can't move it as if you were just trying to flex a muscle, is felt, like if part of your body, yet it isn't. As if your mind could control it by other means...

Concrete control body:
[Heavy]
Can control concrete!

Your luck is getting better! :)

And this...

Try to stumble away to somewhere else.

[Redz spd:1-1=0]
[Marky spd:6-1=5]
["Ghostly" spd:3-1=2]

Marky buggers off. Instead of stumbling, he clutches his bleeding arm tightly and runs for it. He chooses randomly between both exits, and goes to the Greenhouse Room. Some guy is in there, not doing much.

The possessed guy didn't react in time even to start the chase. He seems to curse in a low-pitched, unintelligible language. Even worse, that Redz guy seems to still try to kick his leg:

[Redz dex:2+1=3]
["Ghostly" dex:2-1=1]

[Redz str:6-1=5]

["Ghostly" end:1-1=0]

This time, though, the possessed guy was too distracted staring futilely at his fleeing prey, and Redz was freely able to stomp Ghostly's knee with total impunity. The blow connected quite squarely, and it is probable that a nerve was hit or something, as the possessed fellow screamed wildly from pain, and then fell to the ground, unconscious. That, or maybe the guy was just a pussy, even with the extradimensional possession and everything.

The possessed Ghostly Wizard is unconscious. Someone can attempt to execute him physically by rolling for strength, at a +1 bonus. A result of a 4 or more will end his life.

Focus pot

I can fix it!

Lemon tries to focus his inner energies, but the dragon attempts something first:

[Robert pot:1+1=2]
But sadly nothing happens, excluding a dim glow emanating from both the dragon and Lemon. That could have ended badly.

Lemon then resumes his focusing:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The bleeding intensifies to [Heavy bleeding 2/3]

For the record, if you guys attempt to help each other, talk about that in PMs and tell me about that, explicitly. Otherwise, I have to treat the rolls as combat rolls.

pm

You are new to this alien place. The odd plants around you keep swelling in size, just to open afterwards, revealing absolutely nothing inside them. It is somewhat relaxing, once you dismiss the idea that they could be releasing poisonous gas, you have to admit.

Anyway, you read those papers with which you have appeared:

[Pot:4+1=5]
You get a golden insect antenna with some fire on the tip, arranged as part of the same object, with tiny feeling hairs made of fire.

That is freaking odd.

[Bigf01t spd:5-1=4]
[Hydra spd:6]

The Hydra tries to maintain its firm tentacle grasp over the Phantom Swordsman's legs!

[Hydra str:6]
[Bigf01t str:1+1=2]

Bigf01t realizes how puny he is as the tentacles tighten even more upon his metal ankles. The worst part is, the heads want another bite:

[Hydra dex:6]
[Bigf01t dex:6-1=-2=3]

[Hydra str:2-1=1]

The avian head bites weakly at Bigf01t's torso, not doing much. But the lupine one is coming:

[Hydra dex:5-1=4]
[Bigf01t dex:4-1-2-1=0]

[Hydra str:3-2+1=2]

This one tears off a small chunk out of Bigf01t's torso. He is being ripped apart alive!

[Hydra dex:1-2-3=-4]
[Bigf01t dex:4+1-1-2-1=1]

But the last head is far too damaged to anything, and it twists and flails, colliding with the other ones, and giving the metallic man an opportunity to counter-strike. He calls for his shield:

[Bigf01t will:1+1=2]

But it doesn’t answer. Well, time to break out of this the old fashioned way:

[Bigf01t str:3]
[Hydra str:2]

He uses the monster's distraction to flail with his legs, kick the beast and also squish the tentacles between his ankles until they become loose and he is now free from the creature's grasp. Woooooo! He uses the moment to stand up in celebration.

Now, time to do another thing:

[Bigf01t pot:4+1=5]

He suddenly has bits of flesh circling around him. How... disgusting, actually. But they seem to not touch him, and actually respect the distance when he tries to open his armd and all of that. Yay!

Flesh-repelling aura:
-1 dex to attacks made from or made to flesh objects.
Will break after two successful impacts.

The Hydra recedes, now growling, and attempting something weird, something that you have absolutely no idea about.

Huh.

Well, that's good.

Sorta. I mean, I'm still kinda screwed by my leg being not in sync quite right, but...How to fix that?

Maybe there's a word for life...

I suppose I can test my control with my leg. Can I morph the shape?

In the meantime...

Let's get armored up

-snip-

This is something I have already told at least once, so I can say it again: you can use control to repair yourself. This includes fusing matter to your actual "body"

Okay, I need clear actions from everybody, excluding two players. Please, post an action or send me a PM.

Fuse the leg-concrete to my actual body so I have a usable leg again.

And then armor up

Quote from: Too lazy to actually quote
Redz limits himself to tell the steel man that he doesn't know shit about what is happening. This proves to be awfully informative for the metal fellow who has been recently created from thin air. Instead of getting angry, he takes some time to think...

[Steel man will:3]
Redz notices that the steel man has sharpened one of his fingers, seemingly by pointing his other hand at it. How curious.

Anyway, Redz has a plan for this recently possessed fellow:

[Redz pot:6+1=7]
A thick golden line appears, and draws what appears to a robotic alligator, one made from various cogs, levers, and other mechanisms. With a flash of light, it materializes into pure silver, and looks around. Its sight immediately fixates on the metallic man, for some reason, and it goes after him.
Where did that man and alligator go?

They are still fighting in auto-mode, but I'm not doing the rolls and writing about them until they do something relevant to the players. It is just to save some work for my part. Same as with the Murderous Hippo, who is still in the arena, but hasn't encountered any of the new players (there is a way to encounter it, he is actually in a particular room.)

By the way, I have to warn Illgeo that if he doesn't post an action, his character will still bleed.
