Hey, you've did ~2 weeks between last turn and this turn. Seeing that, it's possible a kind of RL issues(including your business) come up pretty regularly.

Tribulations in Magic: finding new medicinal uses for fire

Turn 133

Didn't see that black hole coming. It might come in handy later tho.

Next!

You try to fix stuff:

[Pot:3+1=4]
Not specifying anything special to do while you cast this spell, you just stand there, arms lazily at your side. After saying the words, you notice a portion of the rock floor glowing, and with a flash of light it becomes a stone hand, lying in a small crater, made where the formerly glowing stone used to be.

How useless. It is not even alive.

Okay, take two:

[Pot:2+1=3]
[Dex:2]

A small burst of fire happens in front of you, and you are quick enough to get out of it, while getting your bloody stump into it. It hurts, but the bleeding has been cauterized. Hooray!

I can work with this.

WHY.

"DERM USE THE METAL I SUMMONED!"

get the word right this time!

Escape and run away. Try to stay out of combat to recharge my pool.

Quote from: Beirus
PM

[Thrakor spd:4-2-1=1]
[Derm spd:4+1-1-1=3]
[Endless spd:2-1-1=0]
[TNI spd:4-1-1=2]
[Robert spd:1+1=2]
[Keeper spd:3-1=2]

Derm desperately tries to break free from the vines, with FIRE!

[Pot:1-2=-1]

But he instead gets a terrible headache! Further -1 to magic rolls!

Spd tie:

[Keeper spd:4-1=3]
[Robert spd:5+1=6]

Robert attempts again to make the stone giant get sucked into oblivion:

[Robert pot:6+1=7]

And again a huge mass of the devilish substance that seems to defy physics covers a great deal of the place:

The Keeper sees this coming and rips part of the floor with its powers, before the sucking begins:

[Keeper will:4+2=6]
And lots of assorted stones are quickly ripped and yanked out of the formerly smooth floor, just before the sucking begins, affecting everyone around:

[Keeper str:6+1=7]
[Derm str:4-1=3]
[Thrakor str:3-1+1=3]

But fortunately for everyone involved, the incredible amount of debris around is absorbed instead of the otherwise helpless combatants. But the Keeper is totally undisturbed by this, just as the force nova somewhat pushes the other contestants. It comes closer to Derm, to finish its job once for all:

[Keeper dex:4+1-1-1=3]
[Derm dex:4+1-1-1-1=2]

[Keeper str:1+1=2] ((-2 because of softness))

And the stone giant, before finishing its foe, slaps Derm casually, in what seems like a scold. For a couple seconds Derm seems to notice what seems like pity in the giant's face, with its rocky eyebrows and sepal eyes almost repenting from having to kill him. But the time of kindness lasts just a brief moment, and so the Keeper prepares a final punch to crush Derm's head once and for all. But at this moment Thrakor, who had stood up by this time, interrupts everything as he tries to bash Derm:

[Thrakor dex:2-1=1]
[Derm dex:6+1-1-1-1-1=3]

But as he tries to stomp his good leg, Derm wiggles as hard as he can, and the stomp does not land, whihc is quite infuriating for the Sphess Whizhard.

Derm, still clutching his staff, tries to bring Thrakor to the floor again, with water:

[Derm will:6]

[Derm dex:1]
[Thrakor dex:4-1=3]

An important mass of water is willed out of the lake and is flushed like a wave towards Thrakor, who casually steps away, as some of the water makes both Keeper and Derm get wet.

Not Igor runs towards the NE hallway, and rests.

endlessblaze tries again to attack the bad rocky thing with freshly summoned diamond:

[Pot:3]

And he gets a chunk of diamond the size of a fist. He then tries to shape it into razor sharp cutting thingies:

[Will:2+1=3]
And he succeeds in making that chunk into a pointy thing. He guesses that it is enough. Time to hurl it to the giant:

[endless will:4]

[endless dex:3]
[Keeper dex:5+1-1=5]

And the pointy diamond piece is fired towards the Keeper, but endless put so much concentration on actually making the thing fly that he forgot to aim properly, and as the Keeper turned to see how Derm had moved the water around the place, he caught a glimpse of endless' weapon fabrication activity and dodged the improvised blade.

AGAAAIN!

The Hydra just waits for you, so you decide that this is a good moment to take the offensive:

[Bigf01t dex:1]
[Hydra dex:1+2+1=4]It then attempts to pull it out of Bigf01t's grasp:

[Hydra str:2]
[Bigf01t str:4+1=5]

But fortunately for the Ghost Rider/Phantom swordsman/whatever way you want to call him, managed to yank his weapon free from the creature's maws. How interesting, the thing seems to have dark teeth. Obsidian, it seems. Sharp and dangerous obsidian.

[Hydra will:4] 2 soul damage

And it seems that the rapier's souls did a relatively good job with their biting and incessant screaming while they were so close to the hideous thing.

Quote from: Lost in Nowhere
NO ACTION. SECOND WARNING

The chill intensifies, and you feel an overwhelming sense of dread.

Redz notices that the obsidian skull in the Arcane Room has opened again, with the usual ominous screams and wicked green light.

GM comments

So, yeah, I was quite busy the past days. This, coupled with the fact that running a game with 8 active players requires quite a lot of time for everyone to post and coordinate their actions, ended up in this extended delay. I apologize for that, but I can't really promise that this won't happen again. Anyway, the game is not going to die as long as there is enough interest from the players, I can tell you that.

Turn 134

...Especially when you cast a hand next turn.
Go to greenhouse room. If i still can, Pm'd words.

You go the Greenhouse Room, going past some emaciated and alien black dragon on the way there. It seems to be lacking a leg, and is preparing to do something. As it ignores you, you simply walk into the Greenhouse Room.

There, you notice that there is a fight, but first, you do some magic:

[Pot:3+1=4]
A golden line appears and draws a cartoon star. Or so it seems, until it becomes more defined, and you notice that it is actually a starfish.

[Pot:3+1=4]
Another golden line appears, but this time it quickly breaks into four similarly sized lines, each of them taking the shape of a small, baby hand, before vanishing into the nothingness again.

Quote from: Beirus
PM

[Thrakor spd:6-1=5]
[Derm spd:6+1-1-1=4]
[Endless spd:4-1=3]
[Keeper spd:1-1=0]

The Space Wizard decides that a better course of action would be to summon a weapon for himself, and so he attempts to do so:

[Thrakor pot:4+1=5]
And a golden line appears, drawing what would be an axe, but the edges are joined to the handle by hard rugged tubes, leaving empty spaces between them. With a flash of light, it materializes into biometal. It looks like it will be easy to swing, but the lack of weight, on the other hand, decreases its potential damage. When Thrakor touches the recently summoned weapon, he notices that he can feel Derm. He can feel how his face has been horribly smashed, and how close his foe is to being totally killed. In fact, this new weapon seems to have given him the ability to apply his mental influence into things made out of biometal. How convenient, isn't it?

Biometal control axe
[Hacking weapon]
[Light]
Can control biometal!

Now, it is time to use it properly. Against Derm's face:

[Thrakor will:2]
[Derm will:5]
But Derm resists his strikes! A battle of wills ensues and Derm eventually gains the upper hand, subverting Thrakor's influence back into the source of it. Derm bends the Sphess Wizard's mind into pushing his own axe away from his hands, and the weapon flies away.

The axe is on the ground somewhat nearby!

Angry at this turn of events, Thrakor went for the kill:

[Thrakor dex:4-1-1=2]
[Derm dex:3+1-1-1-1=1]

[Thrakor str:4-1+1=4]

The poor Derm was already too crippled to attempt anything. The obsidian foot fell upon his already deformed face again and again, slowly but steadily caving it in. And, while Derm could not feel pain, due to the lack of the sensors usually found in flesh, he could very well feel how his mind was shaken again and again by every stomp. It became more dizzy, less defined, until thoughts stopped going past his consciousness and everything became just a flurry of movement, without sense. And the descent into chaos continued until, suddenly, there was no chaos any more, but nothing, nothing at all, as Derm had finally perished.

Derm is dead. Thrakor gains 5 stat points.

Thrakor removed his foot from Derm's totally flattened head, and a line of white smoke came out of it and into his chest. The sensation could only be described as ecstasy, and he rejoiced in it. The Keeper, on the other hand, frowned at him. But just as it was going to react, endlessblaze tried again to hit it with his diamond chunk:

[endless will:1]
And the sharpened diamond starts flying, accelerating exactly towards him. Oh, crap!

[endless dex:3-1-1=1]

But he doesn’t even manage to blink, as the makeshift weapon pierces his head through an eye, the strength of the impact so huge that most of the sharpened diamond ended up inside endless' head as the impact made him fall.

endlessblaze is dead. His power goes to no one

Spoiler: GM's comments (click to show/hide)

The Keeper saw the piece of diamond fly past him, only to see it again embedded on that guy's head. It raised an eyebrow and shrugged, then directed his attention towards Thrakor, and attempts something:

[Keeper will:1+2=3]

It lightly taps the ground and a fist-sized rock emerges from it. It looks like it wants to hurl it towards Thrakor:

[Keeper dex:3+1=4]
[Thrakor dex:1-1=0]

And with a fierce punch towards the air in the direction of his foe, the Keeper launches the stone at amazing speed, catching him squarely on his chest, producing visible cracks.

But, not having finished with that, the stone behemoth now charges at him!

[Keeper dex:3+1-1=3]
[Thrakor dex:2-1-1=0]

[Keeper str:1+1=2]

And it manages to land a light punch in Thrakor's chest, increasing somewhat the cracks.

Robert, meanwhile, channels his inner powers:

ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

AAAAGAAAAAAIIIIIIN!!!!!

(This time with Feeling! </quote>)
((FYI, "Phantom Swordsman" has a damn fine ring to it. Me likely.))

Bigf01t attempts again to stab the Hydra into oblivion, despite the apparent lack of vital organs in the abomination.

[Bigf01t dex:2+1=3]
[Hydra dex:3]

But the stab goes wide and the cursed blade doesn't manage to make contact with the monster. It answers by trying to grasp your feet with its tentacle limbs:

[Hydra dex:4+1=5]
[Bigf01t dex:3]

But Bigf01t manages to put his shield in the way. Instead of getting his legs, the Hydra takes hold of the shield, the dissolving properties of the shield already affecting the monster. It now attempts to yank it away from Bigf01t's arms:

[Hydra str:5]
[Bigf01t str:6+1=7]

But Bigf01t painfully twists it away from the tentacles until the Hydra is forced to release it. Oddly enough, and despite the dissolved flesh, nothing similar to blood is present on the wounds.

Quote from: Lost in Nowhere
NO ACTION. TOO LATE

Ali suddenly finds himself being circled by a shadow, one that came from the Arcane room. Quickly, with demonic speed, the shadow goes around him, until suddenly it breaks its circular motion and the only thing he can see is a scythe made of bone and darkness, and then he doesn't see anything.

The shadow, after severing the head of its victim, pointed at the still flying head of the poor sod, and it exploded in gore. After that, as quickly as it came, it left the room, and traveled back to the Arcane Room, where the fellow there barely was able to see a glimpse of a shadow.

Several people enter the arena:

Sadfaec appears in the Portal Room, right beside the corpse of its former occupant. It frowns with its mask at that sight.

DRPB-001 "Lemon", from here onwards just Lemon, appears in the Magma Room.

Marky appears in the Northern hallway, just between the Grand Room and The Arcane Room. He believes he can see a hippopotamus made out of diamond in the Grand Room.
