"Hey Flimsy. Did the rules change while I was gone? I didn't think that biometal gave me weakness last time I was here. Dammit, gonna have to fix that too."
It always gave you that. You can only exchange one stat for another one in this game, there are no "Get +2 to x" words. It all involves a cost of opportunity.

I hope my statue remains there. It is too beautiful to remove, is in perfect location and serves as a warning for incompetent wizards.  8)

Oh, I have plans to make it into a permanent furniture of the place.

Tribulations in Magic: 100 turns, 26 deaths. This is going well.

Turn 100

"Hey Flimsy. Did the rules change while I was gone? I didn't think that biometal gave me weakness last time I was here. Dammit, gonna have to fix that too."

Quote from: EP
PM

Both Derm and The Flimsy Wizard, happily away from any imminent harm, try to do some nice science:

[Derm pot:5+1=6]
A thick, golden line appears and begins to draw what seems to be a glove. But then, as soon as it finishes, it begins to draw the rest of the arm, or rather, what would be an arm-covering piece of armor. With a flash of light, it materializes into iron, and falls to the floor with a loud thud. The device seems to not be very comfortable to wear, being designed for somebody with an arm twice as thick as Derm's, but it will suffice, even if moves around. Maybe.

Iron Hand&Arm guards: (currently in inventory)
[Smooth surface]
-1 to dex to arms when wore, because it is big and heavy.

The Flimsy Wizard, meanwhile, does magic of his own:

[Pot:6+1-1=7]
His diamond parts flash with light, revealing an uncomfortable sight as the corroded diamond turned into flesh (mostly blood-soaked flesh in his torso, but the insides of the Wizard's mouth and his cranium could be clearly seen too). He also felt the terrible pain on the insides of his head, likely by the trauma that the lion left him after that swipe. But fortunately he begun to glow again, and the magic, without asking, transformed him into a being of biometal. Unfortunately, he was still as hurt as before.

Biometal body:
[Light]
[Yields]
[Soft]
[Naturally sharp]

Look disapprovingly at the charred corpse and cast the spells I sent you at it.

Doris looks with disdain at the corpse. How could someone lack even the infinitesimal amount of tact to realize that there are better places to lay dead than the middle of the room? How rude of him. And also from the people who are supposed to clean this place. Although the place seems rather clean, and other than the carbonized remains of the poor sod and what appears to be the black marks of an explosion on the other side, there isn't anything else in the room. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been rather clean, Doris had to admit. On the other hand, the amount of heat in this place was a totally inconsiderate fault by the owners of this place.

And what are these papers she appeared with? Hmm, these words may have some meaning...

[Pot:4-1=3]
A golden line appears and draws some kind of curved object out of itself. It stays momentarily before vanishing.

[Pot:3-1=2]
A drop of a dark substance appeared and fell to the ground. It is not flowing, despite the slight inclination of the floor towards the magma moat.

[Pot:6-1=5]
A golden line appears, and immediately begins the drawing of a big, fat humanoid. A pair of big upward tusks in its face give you the only hint that you need: it is a troll. But then it begins to move, still in line form, and launches its body towards you, its hands directed at your neck. Predictably enough, it goes through you, like the immaterial being it is, and then vanishes.

Magic! That is what these words are! How wonderful!

MERGICAAARRRR!

MAGIC FUN. MUST DO MOAR MAGIC.

[Pot:5+1=6]
You get a normal sized biometal sack. You touch it, rub it against your body, your leg, and even the biometal claws. Nothing happens.

[Pot:6+1=7]
A thick golden line appears, and draws a human sized humanoid (as redundant as it may seem), but with whiskers, and a long pair of incisors. He looks like a rat person of sorts.

[Pot:1+1=2]
A golden line appears and does nothing. How informative.

[Pot:1+1=2]
Nothing happens!

Well, this was mostly useless science.

"Let's keep trying. I hope curiosity doesn't kill me..."
SCIENCE! G-845, then G-895

First one:

[Pot:5+1=6]
Still, nothing happens.

Second one:

[Pot:3+1=3]
Again, nothing.

You have the feeling that this may not be your fault.

Eh fuck it. Science.

Yeaaah, sicence!

[Pot:1]
A golden line appears and contorts quickly and unpredictably, until it disappears.

[Pot:5]
This time the golden line that appeared drew a dangerous-looking mace.

[Pot:6]
A big log appears and falls to the ground.

[Pot:5]
A golden line appears and draws a pretty bird of some kind you are not aware of.

[Pot:6]
Now a big chunk of stone appears and falls to the ground.

Well, this was informative, at least.

+2 Dex, +2 Speed, +3 Will, +2 End. Time to get off this wall.

[Robert spd:1+1=2]
[Lion spd:6-1-1=4]

The Golden lion turns to face the still-trapped Diamond God, and, unimpresed by its might, tries to attack it!

[Lion dex:5-1=4]
[Robert dex:3+1-2=2]

[Lion str:6+1=7]

The Lion body-slams the diamond creature, which, unable to move away, couldn't do much. The golden beast impacted against the main body of the serpent, causing cracks there due to all its weight.

The lion then receded, visibly shaken by the impact. In fact, the shape of the serpent now marks the shape of the lion, whose main body has been deformed to the point a huge part of it has caved in. It seems that the lion is not taking the beating really well.

Still, the feathered serpent attempts to break free:

[Pot:2+1=3]
He touches the wall with one of its claws, and a small radius, that fortunately encompasses both his legs, begins to glow. After the predictable flash of light, that part of the wall has become biometal, and now the influence of the pulling force is away enough to allow him to escape, which he does.

He still has to deal with that lion, though.

NO ACTION
Sodom does nothing, not really having any actual idea about what to do. He feels a chill run down his spine, though. Could that be a warning of some kind? An omen of what is gong to come?

His inactivity also risks him getting called Patrick in the future by the GM, just for fun's sake.

Unbeknownst to the starfish-headed man, something was happening in the Greenhouse Room. A pair of vine-covered stone arms, coming from the eastern pool, were performing an odd ritual. A human head, also made of stone, overseeing the project, was poking outside of the water between both of the arms. They looked like they were joined together by a body, but one never know what can be found below those normally calm waters. An avid observer would have noticed the object of the ritual: Jack's sculpture. With each movement from the stone arms, the vines in the statue rearranged themselves, migrated, swelled, or became thinner. And as the arms moved, the vines also extended, to the point where both obsidian arms were also covered. The stone creature seemed to find joy in this task, as a timid smile shared a place in his face with a furrowed brow, likely because of the concentration needed to perform the task. From time to time, the creature paused to observe its task, then continued. Slowly, the sculpture took a more pleasing shape, the expression of fear with which Jack had died now transformed into a warm smile. He was not looking at the ceiling any more, but at something slightly below his stature. The image was now of a friendly man, welcoming whatever thing it would be in the direction of its sight. The obsidian arms, now totally covered in vines, had not moved, but the vines had given it a smoother shape, more friendly and less imposing. The vines also had gathered in its hands, which allowed the stone creature to actually modify how they were seen, making them appear as if they were now facing upwards and were totally opened, and upon each palm the creature made a sky-blue flower grow.
Finally agreeing with its own work, the stone humanoid moved both his arms in the direction of the sculpture. He opened his hands, and tried to grasp his creation from the distance. Slowly, it rose its arms, and the statue rose too. With deliberately careful movements, the sculpture was moved towards the lake. But the creature suddenly had an idea, and removing one of the arms from the floating shape, he pointed at the Eastern wall, in a place that was roughly the middle point of the pool, but was slightly over the water. With a pull, a chunk of stone slid from the wall, becoming an improvised pedestal. The sculpture then was placed over it, overseeing the whole room with a welcoming smile, and open arms.
The creature then took a moment to admire its creation, and then went back into the water. After some time, the pool was as undisturbed as always.

Did the lion's attack do anything?  I don't see any damage reported, and it was a solid hit.
