Dodging won't really help against the spell I'm using...
That is, of course, assuming that it works how I think it will, which it might not. Hopefully it will.

Turn 074

"I say!"

Maybe it's time to run?

"Well, it's progress anyway."

Action.

[Systar spd:4+1-1=4]
[Zolond spd:5-1=4]
[Planky spd:6+1=7]
[Alligator spd:6]

The wooden monkey decides to get the hell away from such a dangerous place, and so it runs through the portal! He is not seen afterwards.

The alligator, on the other hand, decides to go after the guy on the floor. AKA, the poor Zolond.

[Alligator dex:3]
[Zolond dex:3-1=2]

[Zolond end:4-1=3]

Zolond is barely scratched by one of the electric teeth of the alligator, but it is enough to make the energy discharge into him. The whole alligator ceases to exist as it enters like lightning through Zolond's body. He manages to resist part of it, well, enough to make it non-lethal, but he is left with a terrible sensation of numbness on all his body.

[Paralysis:2]

This is the perfect moment for Sysar to trike, but, what's this? Zolond anticipates him with a spell:

[Zolond pot:5+1=6]
[Systar end:4]

The Dark Mage closes his eyes and pronounces a single word, causing a big flash of light! Systar was not expecting this and ended up with his eyes being quite wet, like if he had been peelign onions. He still charges Zolond, trying to bring his cold piece of metal into his leg:

[Systar dex:3+1-1-1+1=3]
[Zolond dex:4-1-1-1=1]

[Systar str:1+1-1=1]

But, despite succeeding in hitting Zolond's leg, it felt more like a gentle push than a proper hit.

Testing things.

You say your word:

[Pot:4+1=5]
The Flimsy Wizard begins to glow, but it last just a brief time.

Huh.

Meanwhile, the sheep keep fighting. Or, rather, the silver sheep keeps trying to evade the other one:

[P sheep dex:3-1=2]
[S sheep dex:5]

But the silver sheep manages to catch the clumsy dragon head of the other sheep, and now seems to be trying to carry it to the bottomless pit:

[S sheep str:5-1=4]
[P sheep str:2]

And so the silver sheep takes the purple one through the Western exit.

Fix this goddamn problem it's been here for well over 2/3rds of the game goddamn.

Finish the godamm thing:

[Pot:3+1=4]
Your plant foot flashes with light and the now it is back at a properly functional leg form, with foot attached and everything! yes. Wha-nonono. It begins to glow again, along with your spear. Oh, shit. They both flash with light, and the spear disappears! But now you have a leg covered in iron plating! Well, that's better, you guess. You lost a spear, but you have a leg with armor. You also feel that you can control the magic, much like what you would do with transformation applying to your own body.

-Leg covered with iron plating:
[Smooth surface]

Well, it seems that the thing just needed to be transformed back to its original form, and not to apply another thing over it. Well, it is still somewhat good for you. Now let's do more research:

You do a lot of metnal and positioning stuff:
[Pot:3+1=4]
The nothingness is displaced to the direction of the "boulder" you were thinking of. It is the now ink lump of magnet.

Well that went better than expected. The shadow comes from the Arcane Room and flies to the Grand Room. Hmm. It comes back after a really brief time, and it enters into the skull, the moans and screams slowly becoming softer.

Quote from: EP
PM
You go full, umm, EP, yeah, full EP again:

[Pot:3+1=4]
A golden line appears and draws a big wall, but it doesn't stop there, there are carving in that wall. Carvings showing sheep heads, all of them being at the same distance of each other. Smaller heads occupied the space between them, and the cycle continued ad-infinitum, forming a sheepy version of a Sierpinski Carpet.

The shade comes flying from the hallway and slices the head off of that floating vermin you made earlier. All of it stays flying, inertia being the only thing moving the body, but not falling on its own.

-snip-

Try that again...

Quote from: Rolepgeek
Last moment PM

[Bigf01t spd:3-1=2]
[Trevor spd:6]
[li spd:6]

Spd tie:
[Trevor spd:1]
[li spd:4]

Not-Li looks around and finds a great opportunity to beat down his foe: that demonic spiky mace lying around. Capitalizing on the fact that Bigf01t was distracted, he grabbed the mace and tried to beat the hell out of Trevor:

[li will:3-1=2] 5 damage divided by two, rounded up: 3 damage to soul meter.

Soul meter:3/6

And while the foul energies of the morningstar suck away Li's true soul, the evil presence in his mind tries to finish Trevor:

[li dex:3-1=2]
[Trevor dex:3]

But the surprised Trevor manages to duck just in time.

Li's rune on his head dissipates, and now he is back. He instinctively drops the morningstar after feeling it's soul sucking power.

Trevor immediately answers with a spell of his own:

[Trevor pot:6]
[Trevor dex:6]
[li dex:1]

Trevor points at the blue-robed Wizard, and a thin demon serpent made of fire materializes between both combatants.
HELLFIRES TAKE YOU!
Li is so distracted that he can't evade it, and the serpent collided with his arm with full strength, causing a great deal of pain, almost to a sadistic state. Trevor jumped back just in time, as the tail of the serpent was extending in his direction too, and just watched how the fire clashed against one of the walls over the magma moat.

[Heavy burned]

But Li counterstrikes with another spell. He stands in front of Trevor and says his words:

[Pot:3+1=4]
An octariney substance appears in front of Li, extending in an angle in front of him, when suddenly the ever-changing intensity of the color became too concentrated. Oh, shit.

BOOM!

[li dex:1-1-1=-1]
[Trevor dex:6-1=5]

And as Trevor just jumps away, the explosion catches what still stood of his arm, totally disintegrating it! Now where the arm used to be, there is just flowing blood coming from the hole in Li's arm.

[Heavy bleeding 3/3]

Now, this should be a good moment to dip your stump into the magma moat. Just for survival, you know.

((By the way, if he dies of blood loss, it will count as suicide, unless someone actively intervened in preventing him from fixing himself, in which case the soul may belong to him.))

Oh, and Li's cough is gone, not that it matters much now.

Bigf01t then decides to finally react. Well, not that much time has elapsed, and the fight was interesting anyway.

Well, where were you at? Oh, of course the gloves:

[Pot:4+1=5]
A golden line appears and draws a pair of gauntlets. With a flash of light, they materialize into silver, with biometal for the insides. You test them, and they feel great! You won't be able to easily carve some holes for your retractable claws, but who cares. Now let's test them.

You walk to the demonic morningstar, and grab it with both of your hands. Hmm it is heavy, much like your first one, but you like it anyway. Not to mention that it is not trying to suck your soul, which is always a nice asset. It is also hot, but not quite hot. Or at least the room that provides heat to the whole arena is not the best place to figure it out.

Demonic morningstar:
[Blunt weapon]
[Two-handed]
[Minor piercing]
[Heavy]
[Unholy:7]

Silver-biometal gloves:
[Soft]
[Smooth surface]

Now, you have to do the rest of the science:

[Pot:1+1=2]
You get a little piece of styrofoam. It is uninteresting.

GM comments
Arcane energy likes to explode for some reason. It is not even supposed to explode so often, but the secret roll apparently wants it to happen.

Well yes I saw that part, I just am confused at how I apparently turned my spear into leg armor.

Ah, wait, no, I think I got it.

Now to figure out what the flying hell that targeting word did.

You fused them, I just tried to make it useful.

Wait, so that stuff isn't supposed to always explode?
And that was utterly horrible luck. Rolling two ones on dexterity rolls never ends well...

Even worse is that I don't have enough pool left to do anything useful.
Try to stop the bleeding!

(I'm probably definitely going to die soon)

Wait, so that stuff isn't supposed to always explode?
It desintegrates stuff on contact, on a sort-of-explosion. There are hidden rolls for when it explodes on your face, though. For example, the former turn nothing happened to you, and you attacked Trevor with it successfully. This turn, it exploded and affected both of you. That is what the hidden roll does.

In fact, arcane energy is the only red material with which you can bypass the beat your pot rules. Of course, when it explodes, you don't get a second chance to evade it.

Yes, you can.

Turn edit:

Rolepgeek didn't use the shoot from finger, but rather the laser word. It has been corrected in the turn to show that. The difference is that laser concentrates the damage, and thus all the burns went to Li's left arm. They could have gone all to the other arm, which would have been pointless, as it was blown up. But such are the whims of the RNG.
