It's like my teams are cursed with death by RL.
I think we've had four people die for meta reasons, so far.

Actually, our team members may be the only meta-casualties. I'll have to go back and check.
Wow.
It makes me glad in a weird way I didn't join the "Derm Alliance". I love this game too much to leave! :P

Turn 090

-snip-

Your shouting goes unanswered, as far as the entity in charge of making you perform actions is concerned. Well, at least you can try to read some of this crap:

[Pot:3-1=2]
You get a little sharp piece of something black.

[Pot:4-1=3]
You get the mental image of a hovering car, for some reason. That's odd.

Hmm, maybe magic is more complicated that what you originally thought.

"Well, that was... something. Anyway, it looks like I will need more than this to learn something useful..."

Walk close to the portal and examine it, without touching it. Then, walk away and leave the room.
Say the words Y-103, then R-101.

If anyone attacks me and I can't run away, again punch it in the face.

You walk towards the portal, the flickering lights paying no attention to your person. You put one of your fingers close to it, and find yourself amazed at how it isn't trying to pull you into it. Besides that, you can't tell anything else, the blue and purple lights having become a kind of relaxing sight once you have overcome the sensation of amazement.

You walk away towards the only exit, transiting through a bridge over nothingness itself. The void seems to expectantly await for some unfortunate traveller to fall towards it. You finally arrive to a bigger, circular room. Only light orbs, floating over short stone pillars lined around the circumference of the room are what is inside. Although another guy seems to be here, but you pay him no attention.

And then you try your magic:

[Pot:4+1=5]
A golden line appears, then draws the image of a dog, vanishing shortly thereafter.

[Pot:2+1=3]
A golden line appears and draws a very poor representation of some sort of four legged creature. Oddly enough, it starts to move, and it jumps after you, but just goes through your body, without any feel on your part. As with other lines, it disappears.

Science is a good thing.

The liquid man considers his next move. Yeah, science, that's the only answer.

[Pot:4]
A golden line appears, and draws a rapier. With a flash of light, it becomes solid iron, which plummets to the ground. It doesn't seem that you will be able to grasp it, due to your structure.

[Pot:3]
A golden line appears and draws a four-legged animal.

[Pot:6]
A thick golden line appears and draws the shape of a big battle axe, one that would need at least to hands to be able to be swung at all.

[Pot:4]
A chunk of steel appears and falls to the ground, near the iron rapier.

[Pot:6]
Nothing happens! How odd.

[Pot:1]
A golden line appears, only to immediately twist itself into a knot. Oops.

"I don't know why I bother with this thing!"

Blah blah naginata blah blah Mako blah blah chest

Wow.
It makes me glad in a weird way I didn't join the "Derm Alliance". I love this game too much to leave! :P

The fight continues!

[Systar spd:3+1=4]
[Bigf01t spd:5-1=4]
[Mako spd:6]
[Flimsy spd:6-1+1=6]

The engagement between Mako and Bigf01t continues:

[Mako str:1+1=2]
[Bigf01t str:1+1=2]

But it seems that Mako can't hold Bigf01t any longer, instead, he prepares for another strike. In the mean time, the Flimsy Wizard joins the fray! He runs to the slayer of his former team mate and unleashes a spell of terrible proportions ((and syntax, by the way. The GM is annoyed))

((The words were fire and lightning, one time each))

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

Masses of fire and electricity attack Systar, but he manages to evade most of them. The souls empowering him give the strength necessary to resist the electricity, while the few fire that could have reached his flesh to burn it found that it had already been burnt, excluding his right leg, in which the bleeding receded thanks to cauterization.

The Flimsy Wizard, on the other hand, could not resist the full power of his own spell, and thus ended up with [Paralysis]

Spd tie:
[Systar spd:5+1=6]
[Bigf01t spd:2]

Systar, after realizing that he was almost intact, rushed to the guy with the sombrero, his naginata clutched tightly:

[Systar dex:6+1-1=6]
[Mako dex:1+1=2]

[Systar str:6+1+1-1+1=8]

And the naginata strikes Mako squarely in the chest, leaving a huge and deep gash across his torso. He feels how this is becoming too much, even for him.

Mako now has: [Heavy bleeding 3/3]
And, because the bleeding comes from the torso, he also has a -1 to endurance.

But Mako tries to do something about this, he tries to bring Systar to the floor:

[Mako dex:4+1=5]
[Systar dex:1+1=2]

[Mako str:5+1=6]
[Systar dex:3+1-1=3]

He grabs his assailant's bleeding foot and pulls it until Systar has lost balance and falls. He then pulls it a little bit more and makes Systar skid along the floor, before releasing him.

Systar is now: [On ground]

As Mako's agony in his chest was made more bearable due to the little satisfaction of that small victory upon his foe, Bigf01t reacted and tried to make him meet the devilish weapon again.

[Bigf01t dex:6-1=5]
[Mako dex:1+1-1-1=0]

[Bigf01t str:6+1+1+1=9]
[Mako will:4-1=3] ((7-3=4 4/2=2 soul damage))

And the weapon met his vaguely defined objective with such strength that Mako's arm was reduced to a broken mesh of a limb in just one strike, as the demon face continued to do its unholy job.

Right arm is now:[Broken]

Between the damage and the regeneration of the turn, Mako's soul meter is now at 3/6

NO ACTION

The drake keeps roaring as the shade returns from the Greenhouse Room. Oddly enough, instead of quickly entering the skull and vanishing from sight, the shade seems to be taking more time to retreat as if feeling that its actions may be needed again soon.

Systar sneered at the newcomer.  "Oi, buddy!  You're next!"

Stab Mako in the chest.  Choke up if needed.  Finish him off already!
