The New Update:

-no more pilot seat

-Crafts die once reduced to 25% CPU
Uh. How... do they determine now, if a part falls off?

Just shoot everything in order of importance. Or slice off half the bot.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Crafts auto regen? That actually is pretty huge, but I guess it is partially balanced out by crafts dying on having 25% health left. These are pretty radical changes though.

25% cpu. Not health. You can still be at low health if you aren't missing lots of parts.

Oh, now that's pretty interesting. Could this mean walkers, which legs take up huge amounts of CPU die faster? I'l probably play a game or two on the weekend and see for myself, it's not the first time Robocraft changed the mechanics of the game.

Not especially. My mecha medic could lose its legs, nanos, and a couple electroplates before it went poof.

Yes, how? How do you slice something which doesn't have a logical centre in half? How does it determine which half stays in the hands on the player and which half "falls off" and disappears into the void?

That actually sounds pretty neat.

mixed feelings about it. having a critical part made the thing much more strategic, both in combat and from a builder perspective. I tweaked my hover trough many iterations before figuring out the best way to protect all the critical components, allow it to remain maneuverable while getting damaged, and balancing the need to protect the seat from lucky plasma hits etc.

Wow.  These changes sounded good on paper but is absolutely terrible.  Now you've got G-string flyer beds with lots of agility, if they get shot down, they regen back up in 15 seconds.  The team with more flyers seems to trounce ground opponents easily.

Flyers were always better than ground

It is kind of funny how reversed Robocraft is

In real life landcraft have a advantage in that the ground allows you to add weight to your craft. So aircraft are less efficient but fill in a niche.

In Robocraft? It is actually more efficient to make aircraft then ground craft.

When I was playing this game, no they weren't. They were kinda cool, but they would become useless once shot a few times, due to spinning around and falling down. That was before all that fancy "wing" stuff appeared, mind you.

Yeah, back then it was easier to shoot them down, but if you ignored them they'd harass your team like mad.  Now they have the durability of any ground tank, but the agility and flexibility of a flier.
