what I wana know is could you build a mech with a winged jetpack and have it fly with some measure of stability and functionality.

Yea...I really am disinterested in playing, played 10 games today, had 5 of them with a hacker wiped out my entire team.

Flying a helicopter near the very edge/top of the map shapped like a nazi sign, 100% accuracy with full smg auto.

Seeing how extremely heavy the legs are, making it actually fly would probably be nigh-impossible.

But maybe if you used legs a few tiers lower than the thrusters.......

I have seen a mech use about 15 or so hovers on the back then a bunch of forward thrusters to push it forwards, but this was a rail bot.

The big announcement summarizes into essentially 'Look, we've screwed up pretty badly with some mechanics [image of t10 gunbed], this isn't the lego we've intended it to be. So now its time to fix that. More descriptive posts to follow.'

I hope they clear up what they mean. Creativity is one thing but I hope they don't intend to lessen the need for  ingenearing.

How you design it should have some influence on how it works.

Tipping over, soft handling on plains without many wings. Ect.
(Mech legs crazy anti-tiping has in universe justification, it's fine)

Part 2: 'People who like to build and people who like to fight are not always the same people. But you have to be good at both to progress very far in Robocraft (or you have to deal with having a bad time until you are better), so not as many people keep playing. We need to add more features so that you can, but don't have to do both.'
List of examples they had:

Allow players with all skill levels of fighting to enjoy Robocraft
Offer ways to help low skilled fighters to enjoy Robocraft, like co-op PVE, tutorials etc.

Offer rewards and kudos for those that like to focus predominantly on Building
