Having multiple garages also allows you to experiment with different weapons and different movement parts, while keeping space open for art bots + money grinding bots.

The buying of parts with GC was only so that I could experiment with the helium.  They're very expensive otherwise, and I'm not really planning on building blimps, so I decided that it would be a waste of RP.  When I was done, I sold them and used the RP to upgrade my main vehicle.

So far, three garages has fit me fine.  One for my main, one for my alt, and one for my experiments.  As I unlock more parts I guess I might want more alts though.

Everything gets more expensive as you tier up :p

Luckily the amount of RP you earn also increases with your tier, so long as you deal damage or heal damage.

I was one of the 8 or so T5s versus a T10 and 3 T9s, two of which were medics. I'm sure you can guess the results.

Robocraft now has a wiki, it's currently rather messy and may not be completely accurate, but it will hopefully improve over time. It also gives some background information, such as the fact that the red and blue teams are competing companies and the battles seem to be controlled. (Apparently the boss battles are considered to be illegal.) This lend credence to the theory that you don't actually pilot the bots, instead merely designing them and fighting remotely, or even that the battle system is actually a simulation. (This explains why you are always on the blue team, since it seems to be the "good" team.)

The robocraft wiki contains the phrase 'thruster-flavoured poptart'.

I'm so happy.

I find it funny how bunnyhopping-like exploits still exist in games today. You'd think people would learn.

is it me or are the hitboxes in the game horrible? I have guns firing in each other that are not even near colliding with the model. It even seems like the smg's are hitting the electroplates beneath them when firing at low angles.

Electroplates have terribly inconsistent hitboxes. Right and left versions differ for one thing, but there tends to be the benefit that it helps them catch shots sometimes.

I seem to recall reading that the electroplates are actually intentionally like that, that they're supposed to attract shots that by pure straight-line fire would have missed them slightly.

Which I agree with, what I don't agree with is the placement restrictions being inconsistent.

At the very least, I can live with the placement problems in the light of new content, but I hope they will tweak that at some point.

There's things upcoming which look VERY interesting.  Three things, and one maybe.
1: Treads with multiple attachment points - instead of mounting onto a cube, they mount on up to 9 cubes, so they're harder to blow off.  They seem to support heavier weight and go slower than wheels.
2: Getting paid for dying when the team wins - which should have been in AGES ago, but will soon be paying players if they die but the team wins regardless.
3: Tesla coils - not much info, but they may damage your own bot, and they may be melee weapons.

Maybe: Multi-attached guns, possibly large-bore weapons with poor angles?  Very little info here, just a mention...

Spinal-mount weapons would be odd, to say the least. But probably entertaining to see what shenanigans people stick together with it.

TBH, if my wheels get shot off, generally half of the bot has been dissolved by mass plasma fire.  I'm not sure more mounting points will help with that situation.  Unless treads cost way less CPU than wheels, in which case, I'll be able to up-armor accordingly.
