Speaking of flying things.

Flies pretty easily, easy to hit targets, but lacks thrust. It tends to get hit in the tail and get it severed, or lose a thruster and spin into it's death. Speaking of spinning, I once somehow managed to kill a rail satellite which hit me, while falling and spinning.

I hate rail satellites. *Explodes in one hit*

Don't you just hate it when you get something like 4 kills, then someone with a stupidly overpowered weapon shows up and kills you just as your team is about to win, reducing your gains from around 2000 rp to a measly 500.

I hate fliers because most of my weapons fire downwards... Which, obviously, results in my getting pelted from above while I pelt others from above.

I'm either being dumb or obvious, but have you tried flying higher instead?

In my case, getting high enough in a baloon is slow. However, I have experimented a bit with some deliberately off-center thrusters so I can tip myself enough to point my gun covered belly at the sky. It works, but can be annoying for regular flight.

That said, it's surprising how often people miss me, all things considered.

I'm big, I'm relatively slow, and I'm not very heavily armored, but I survive somehow.

Spot them and dodge like there is no tomorrow. Someone is bound to shoot at them.

Just had the longest battle of my life.  I was the last man standing, plasma bomber, and there were 4 other players, 3 bombers and one rail. I managed to kill the rail, and after a shit ton of dodges and evasive maneuvers I killed two bombers and damaged one to 63%. More flying, and he struck me in the tail, sending me to the ground and killing me seconds later. So close!

I had a flipper, but I had just been taking potshots at some plasma tanks, and they were fast in their revenge.

Can't, due to helium limitations.
However, I do have a T6 gun on to attempt to hit people above me, but that has yet to work. :p

I've never gotten into hovers. What benefits do they offer over straight-tanks?

Terrain ignorance, in place turning, controllable height advantage. If you build it right you also can get great hill climbing(works best with rear facing rudders I find), and minor strafing ability.

pretty much. my hover is quite armored (can fight and match most gunbeds) but can also climb any surface. I surprised many rails and some plasma bomber just by being there, completely out of place with tons of black cubes and more than a dozen smg.

everyone assume anything up on the hill is light. then dies.
