Put a living human on your bicycle, soak (the bicycle and/or the human) in kerosene, light, and I'm pretty sure the bycicle go faster than 200mph.

Well, despite expectations after that long install, the game runs with no lag. A 2 second start-up when starting the game, and only a second to drop into a match. The matches go quite well, too.
However, maybe another culprit as to why 200 MB took multiple days to install: I caught steam updating itself and 3 games at once. This is AFTER the install, but may have been the problem then too.

My hover bot currently looks like a Dr. Mario pill, and is T1. My other one is... I dunno. I can flip it and become immobile when going off a cliff, but has won a few matches (and lost just as many). That one's T2.

yes. the devs reaaaaly do the best to break it.
sad, but i strongly have the feeling that they just have very little expirience to playing games, and just thought along the line "hey, they made houndrets of millions with wot, lets do that too".
sure, i cant know that.  but its a matter of fact that they dont have any clue about the impact of numerical advantages, or any imagination of what a change will do to the game.
said it before, will say it again: once there are plasma cannons, the game will be totally fucked.
but even now... the game is so much less fun then it used to be. and it gets worse with each update.

well, their rationale is "We wanted to put a little more emphasis on the skill of the user, i.e. strategy of movement, driving skill, and firing skill,"

basically they wanted it to be a twitch shooter, nerfing anything about design and strategy

whatever they want. they failed.
right now, theree is but one sucessful way to build bots:
fast, small and high flying.
most design options are just noob traps.
they should remove wheels and hoverblades and the need to have helium.

was fun, im a bit pissed i bought 3 month of premium to support the game literarely one day before they fucked it up (at last for me).
but well, i had a lot of fun before that. they lost me, but i realy hope they find a stable player base whitch likes the game.

You say that, and yet the robocraft forums are ranting about basically the exact opposite of a tiny high-flier: Gunbeds. Less armor usability and other changes making it hard to do anything without excessive guns.
