It's pretty fun, if a bit lacking in parts, but I'm sure more will come sooner or later. I've been mostly rocking small and incredibly armed platforms, working on getting it as nimble as possible.

Anyone try helium blocks? I'm thinking of getting them for my flyer (flying fortress of dakka FTW) but I'm not sure how helpful they are.

You have a maximum height, even with helium blocks, and it's low.

However, if you go up a ramp and come off the end, you don't go back down unless you have the weight/enough hover units to do so.

Once they add the plasma cannons, you could make a bot that floats stupidly high and just launches projectiles down at the ground.

wrong...if you ballance helium blocks and armor then...i'll just point out that you can rotate the jet engines.

I never played World of Tanks outside of the lowest tiers (and even that only for a few days) and have only played low tier games here, but one thought I have is that the advantage that WoT gave to defenders was that they could hide and generally achieve the element of surprise, whereas in this game no such advantage exists, causing most matches to have no defenders.

Just a heads up once you get into tier 4 it looks like there are a couple of hackers. I've seen a guy named Taidzu or something similar and he was flying around with a T10 ship (all black armor, T5 guns) in a tier 4 match. Pretty sure you can report them on the forums.

I basically went with a brick-covered-with-guns philosophy. I can't get screenshots working, sadly. But basically it's a slanted-forward cube with about ten guns on it, six dual drive wheels and five thrusters. Radar and seating internal.

forum says that you only get 5 shots ps top, and more guns get used in sequence so it means after a while adding crappy shooters only dilute the time the good guns are firing

My hovercraft is finally done..

I didn't actually expect this baby to perform nearly as well, but it takes an act of god to put her down.
Need to install Fraps, then I'll throw screenies at yall.

front facing cannon get a lot of damage and get destroyed so much often than top mounted turrets, but they have much more range....

I need to top mount them.

so last match everyone was camping, I killed 3 and maimed the 4th, then captured the base alone.

Okay, apparently there is one glowing weak point where my hover craft can be obliterated in one shot. I can't seem to figure out where it is so I can patch it.

So, I tell everyone to stick together. Everyone decides to split up. Then they run into about four other guys, one by one. I catch up and start helping, so the other guy takes that as his cue to leg it, leaving me against four enemy tanks.

One thing I like so far is how cheap GC is. You can get enough for a year and a half for premium for 40 dollars.
